@Kronen so long as you enjoy the game, the matchmaking is fun and spinning for a match takes at worst 5 minutes, usually much less (and seeing how a decent speed game,ie 2-4 minutes turn without having a slowpoke opponent, lasts about an hour, it aint too bad... the matchmaker's efficiency can be compared to that of a dota in playing/idle searching time, probably a little better than that)
playing against the AI is funny so long as you're still learning the rules, after that the AI becomes basically a walkover unless you're playing against the hardest AI which cheats in an outrageous fashion (and i find that no fun tbh,especially since it cheats dices and not something deterministic like Sc brutal AI does).

however it's not really Cyanide's fault for that, the game is horribly complex from an AI standpoint (imagine the programming effort required to make a PC play good chess, now throw in a ton more pieces, more rules and more complex, the game is also probabilistic and not deterministic, now add to that the tons of different matchups.... thank god i didn't have to program that!)

All right.... Spent all day yesterday contemplating and reading, slept on it, and have decided to throw down for a CE. Hope to see you all on the pitch next season :-). Good luck with your games! I'll continue to check up on this. It'd be cool to get a standings screenshot after each round with team value and what not.

but i dont know if its possible to join the league mid season, dont know if the programm supports that. also i dont know if any player is out completely yet. noone missed bow games in the first two round.

If nobody's missed both games, then I guess everyone's still playing. But if someone drops out, they can easily be replaced provided you have someone who wants to replace them. Just remove an existing team from the league and accept a new applicant.

Well, in that case i will replace teams after they miss a second game (without telling me whats up), if there is a replacement-team applied.

Well.. just played a free-league Chaos Dwarf team. Only 1540 rating, but they had a lvl 5 Chaos Dwarf blocker with Mighty Blow and Claw, a stupidly overpowered combination, and a lvl 6 Hobgoblin. I had 8 injuries as that dwarf was knocking out everything.
Really... there needs to be a surrender button, because at some point it's just stupid attempting to compete against that much cheese. I did almost kill his hobgoblin though, forced him to use that apothocary to save it  .

Yeah, the game is designed for scheduled leagues. In a perpetual environment hard to obtain skill combinations become rampant, clawpomb (claw/mighty blow/piling on) being the prime example.
You can surrender, just open the menu and click abandon match.
