If you import it to TW2, odds are you end up selling or throwing it away because it scales so poorly. I'm pretty certain it's a fourth wall break of sorts.
So I'm about 15-20 hours into B&W, completed the main story (not the most ideal ending though) and I'd say a good 20%-25% through all the side content. I'm not the biggest fan of the main story, it could have used a good 5-10 hours extra to flesh out the antagonist. Combat is slightly more fresher with the addition of new enemy varieties, but playing on Death March makes everything a damage sponge which is incredibly tedious. Some of the side content is checklist-y and not worth engaging. I'm giving it another go for the better ending, and I think B&W is a fine condensation of the base game into one region, but it's not the best CDPR have produced.
Jesus CDPR, why do you keep resetting my key bindings at each important patch ;-; Also "Skellige's Most Wanted" is still bugged after all these patches

I would love to see expansions in Zerrikania, past the Dragon Mountains to the north, and Nilfgaard proper. Unfortunately (or not) it is not that kind of universe we live in and they have C2077 in the wings.

the baguette guard sold it to me haha
joke aside it is indeed really great, this "DLC" is bigger than most of the games, only for 17e on gog i feel like i stole something
having his own yard is better than i expected
i really love the atmosphere
edit: agree with phoenixvoid, they still have the empire and many regions to exploit like this and i'm sure they are gonna come back to it after cyberbunk, they just don't want to look like they are milking their game, you can trust me
I thought milking the game means when you put out shitty content to get some quick buck from the loyal fanbase?
But yeah, I haven't touched the new expansion yet(just started my W3 playthrough a month ago) but the UI changes+new perks are really nice. Gourmet seems a tad too strong, 20min food buff woo.
If CDPR ever returns to the witcher world, I'd like to see them leave Geralt alone though. It would be interesting to see perhaps Nilfgaard in more detail with entirely new characters, etc.
I swear you can only get the good ending with the sisters if you don't go for the Unseen to lure Dettlaff. I'm going to give the main story another go except this time by freeing Syanna, which I heard offers you dialogue options to let her forgive Anna, or ends with Syanna dead from Dettlaff's hand.
I chose the see the unseen elder and summon dettlaff to kill him and i got some really cool parts to see. Can anyone tell me what happens with the other choice (free Anna's sister) curious as to how different they will be as it seems it was a major decision.

I figured this would be the case. Got a manual save from just before storming the castle though thankfully. Gonna load it up and try even harder to set things right this time.

It's a good thing they warn you that big things were going to happen right before you start Capture the Castle. On one hand I'm a bit frustrated that picking the Unseen path closes off the best ending (from what I've seen), but on the other hand I've seen where the Syanna side goes and it's a lot more colourful and fairy tale-like, versus the Unseen choice. The Unseen cave was pretty cool though and I bet Geralt would have loved to have put down facing down one of them on his list, but sadly not my canon run.

I turned off the minimap and active quest indicator for this expansion, and it's a surprisingly good thing to make. It forces you to be more focused on the game and be more aware of the environment.
Okay, so is there a simple way to get all the updates and then transfer those files to my main PC? I ask because I know there are patches 1.01-1.20(?) or whatever (which I assume combined are quite a few gigs) and then I know there is HoS and B&W which I'd love to get as well (A couple gigs each?)
Thing is, I can't really transfer my PC around but I do have a laptop that I could bring to a friends/families house to download the files (yay Rural USA with it's shitty internets and data caps!) but no way my laptop can support witcher itself so I wouldn't be able to install anything. (Hell, it's still XP so I dont' know if I can even install GOG, thought that requires Win 7 or greater)
Any "master" downloads that have all the up to date patches + both expos? Or any idea if they'll release a "expo" pack download that I could easily download and transfer to my PC? Hell, I'd almost just be tempted to buy the expansion pack and just download a torrent if that's honestly my best (only?) option. >.<
I really want to play the witcher expansions but downloading gigs upon gigs would honestly take me a month to do.
I have the issue of having shitty Internet too, and if you bought the game on GOG you're quite lucky : you can download everything (the .exes and the .bin files) on another PC, even if it doesn't have TW3 installed, then move that to your own PC and install (provided the OS is the same).
For the record, HoS is about 4.5GB, B&W around 7 (and add another 7GB for the "Multi-language pack" if you want to), patch 1.01 -> 1.10 is 10.3GB and patch 1.10 -> 1.21 is 2.1GB, and the 16 free DLC weight half a GB, so the whole thing is at roughly 25GB.
All right, so where do I find some dope medium or light armor? As much as I like finding stuff naturally, I sort of want to swap out my Griffon armor for something new. And I have little interest in going through the 48 step plan to find the cat armor and all the upgrade diagrams. Well maybe a little interest.
