Seriously. Think about what options you have at any point in the game, and if in hindsight you could have predicted anything. Eventually you come to find a few things that you either can't answer or have very few answers to, and a few options that you never utilize. That's when you adjust your team.

Why do you need a Magmar so bad lol, if you needed it maybe you'd go through the effort of actually trading for/catching one?

Can't catch it without the right safari, and can't trade for one when no one has one No one has come forth at least. But yeah,, gotta always have magmar, it's just one of those pokes. *sigh* guess i have to enter the pit to get my hands on one.. Thanks for the link though, i generally stay away from reddit so it never crossed my mind to try there.

oh im pretty sure I have magmar in one of my safari actually. I can't play anytime soon but ill let you know through PM when i can

Why not just GTS for one? There's bound to be one for trade there.

Hopefully you guys can help I know I need to find a way to squeeze in a M-Khangaskan counter and most of the freed ubers give me a lot of trouble. I think I might switch forretres out for ferroseed
I tried getting help on smogon but my thread just got buried.

Why does your rotom-h have 248 in atk evs? Also Lucario's nick is fked up, fix pls
And neutral natures on volcarona and rotom-h? I'm so confused lol
As for Mega-kang my favorites would have to be gengar w/ disable and froslass.

Damn, you love dem life orbs.
|
Yeah it always seems to end up me killing myself with them, I think i will change my hydriegon's to a expert belt to feint choice items That also explain why my rotom couldn't ohko anything with overheat
|
i think your team's most glaring fault is the unimaginative nicknames.
|
Why is Lucario's nickname lucario? You will never hit 2100 with that scrub stuff!

Mega Luke is actually a good check for Mega Kang. Mega Luke outspeeds and can do heavy damage with Adaptability boosted STAB Close Combat.
Consider adding Volt Switch in somewhere on Forretress (maybe over Spikes to help with pivoting). It looks like your team wants to pound things hard to clear the way for one of your setup sweepers to do work and Volt Switch aids a lot with prediction. On Azumarrill, put Play Rough over Double-Edge for fairy STAB with decent coverage (and no recoil). Also consider Splash Plate over Choice Band to bluff a CB.
Just a question though, how do you deal with the Rotom-Wash switch-in? Nothing on your team seems like it can absorb a Will-o-Wisp and while you have two fire types, they of course do not want to eat a Hydro Pump. Even Forretress will not take well to repeated Volt Switches from Rotom-W.
You seem to want to take a more hyper offensive route with your team. You have the right idea by adding in several powerful hitters, some very capable sweepers and a banded priority hitter.
Among your pokemon right now, replacing Hydreigon with a scarf moxie mence gives you a fast devastating wallbreaker who does not need to worry about Sticky Web.
All in all, can't really recommend too much changes yet, depending on how you want your team to go. To build a good team, I think you need to start with a 2-3 pokemon core you want to build around and add in pokemon that complement them based on how you want to play.
As a sample, here is my first crack at a Pokebank OU team: http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/mixmence-based-team.3493808/
I built a team around an offensive core with good synergy typing-wise and then added in support pokemon that could let me pivot around and also add in hazard support.
|
your team is insanely squishy first thing I noticed. hell even your forretress has EVs in attack. You can basically never switch anything in without taking a beating. making your team essentially a 1 up, 1 down sort of team which only works on hyper offense teams (and even then is hard to pull off correctly)

When would one breed using Power Item + Destiny Knot? To pass down a certain stat guarantee? For example, Bracer would guarantee HP to pass down. Would it be better to use Everstone + DK or Power Item + DK with a 5 IV x 3 IV / 4 IV x 4 IV pair?
|
With Power item + DK you cant control the nature so I don't know when you would do that.
Edit: more thinking about it hah. I guess you could use it to guarantee one stat and hope the other 4 are what you want also to then use it to breed with one of the parents using Everstone + DK,

This is correct
You only need 1 parent with the correct nature, so use it when you have a 4 and a 3, OR , a 5 and a 4. Easily skip to 5 and 5 and make things easier on yourself.
I think some people don't even use an everstone until they get a parent with 5 perfect ivs. Go up the chain and get 5 IVs and then make one with the correct nature and breed together, should go quickly as well.
Once you get males in all the egg groups you don't really need this at all unless breeding for different things like Hidden Powers and Trick Room spreads.
|
Interesting points, BlueBird, thank you! I never thought about having perfect males in each egg group. Holy shit, that speeds up the process pretty fast. O_O
What are the best males to have in each egg group, in terms of highest usability/usefulness?
