Game is feeling extremely polished. difficulty of dungeons ramps up at a good rate, many different options for leveling up. hunter logs was a good idea.

Kinda moot but as fun fact, previous betas key are inherited: if you are in phase 1 beta you are auto in phase 3 beta, also you can use a fresh phase 1 beta key during phase 3. In fact, if you have an unused FFXIV Original release alpha / beta key, you could use that for ARR (but if you are not automatically entered into ARR beta if you were in original alpha / beta). | ||

You can do gathering / crafting solo and just make a gillion gil though. As for job, as you can do all job on same char, just try it out yourself, and the balance will change with updates anyway. On another note, with the ending of beta 3 there are some more coverage to check out. | ||

Balance is in flux and we have no sense of what endgame combat is even going to look like, so I'm trying to refrain from overspeculation, but we can see jobs at 50 starting to fill out niches just with testing on tank-and-spank FATEs. MNK: amazing single-target, weak AoE DRG: good single-target, average AoE BLM: average-to-good single-target, amazing AoE WAR: weak-to-average single-target (if not tanking), average-to-good AoE BRD: weak single-target, average AoE, support songs | ||

You are correct, and quite a number of people have all job maxed already for legacy, hundreds if not thousands (except arcanist obciously). It doesn't take that much time compare to FFXI. Like many MMO, leveling is only the path to majority of the content. | ||

Seems like phase 4 won't be an "open beta" like we assumed it will be? I think a lot of people were just assuming phase 4 will be a simple download and play kind of deal for newer players, and either this reddit post is misinformation, or there will be a lot of disappointment. If this is true, people need to register by the 22nd, or risk not being accepted into phase 4. | ||
