And as far as the makarov being removed, as you said yourself, agro'ing zombies is a massive problem with them, combine that with their low power and the rather low 8 bullets only really makes it viable for getting into one or two drop locations. Do you honestly believe starting you off with very low ammo isn't survival enough? The low ammo crappy makarov IS what you would put into a survival focussed game, removing it seems just completely pointless and just another barrier to get into the game without reading a godamn manual.
Also sneaking systems are all fun and such but the extremely shitty controls and the bad programming just make it either a extremely slow ride of boredom or playing it more loose which makes it impossible to shake the aggro before you can grab your items.
This just feels like one of those bad patches that makes a game stupidly difficult after fans have been complaining it was too easy, I think I'll wait till future updates fix this shit and focus on the many better games I have.
Edit: And yeah, I am kind of pissed off, from what I've seen from the numerous Destiny material this seemed like an incredibly enjoyable game, to only find out now that to reach that point you have to spend 15 min to an hour depending on luck and spawn position to even get a basic weapon, from where you can actually start playing this game, if this was a one or couple of times thing I would'nt mind but at this point I spent so much time on that bullshit, it's just frustrating.
I get the idea of having no weapons to fight and being chased, in Amnesia or Penumbra for instance it works incredibly well, however there it works because it's actually scary due to the game's atmosphere, story and enemy design, in this case it's like you're being chased by a bunch of annoying parasites that sound like dogs and wear idiotic french berets, it takes me out of the game and wastes a lot of my time on tedious busywork.
Your frustrated happens to EVERYONE that plays this game. You either adapt or quit.
Most people in this thread love this game. I was there after 2 days of playing I thought it was impossible when you get past that you realize how great this game is.
Playing with friends is lie 10x more enjoyable then solo play imo. I soloed for 2 weeks because I didnt want to try to group with people and slow them down while I learned.
The Zombies aren't whats scary its other players.
I hadn't seen any action for like 4 days cause I was just gathering supplies. Looking for heli's and avoiding where alot of people go. I go to help carmon loot grocery store in a small town after he killed 2 people next thing Im locked down with Carmon for an hour in the grocery store being shot at with saws and getting grenades dumped on us. Thats what gets your heart going.

This game is like Nethack or Stone Soup, you play your first game and you die within half an hour (or less) and then you get really frustrated. And that frustration either drives you to quit, or it motivates you to KICK ASS.

This game is rough.
However I'd like to thank whomever died in the Army Medic base east of some airfield (I have no idea which one or how to navigate) for gifting me the 4 blood bag, morphine, scoped m4, ammunition, bandages, flares, water bottle, and food that your corpse held for me.
It looks like you got killed by zombies (there were a lot there) perhaps after breaking your legs falling from the watchpost?
In any case, thank you.

I rescued you from 5 bandits near Stary and you said you owed me your life. You then offered to gift me half of your kingdom, which I graciously accepted. However, at that point I had to leave for the evening. You can PM me your tent locations whenever and I'll just help myself.

I use six launcher and it works fine for me. Alternately you can use day z commander which is more feature rich than six launcher (for now until the six launcher update comes). Or you can just update manually. No real 'right' answer imo.

That was Balota airfield, and sounds awfully similar to what a buddy of mine had on him when some one ran up and shot him, as he was being chased by zombies... I'll let him know you made good use of his supplies

Also I have no tents.

It appears you've gone into the game with expectations of being handed a rifle to cut down hordes and hordes of zombies. This isn't left for dead. This game is all about PvP and hording awesome gear. The frustration you're feeling is what you should be feeling at the start of the game. It makes every experience you get vastly more enjoyable. But hey if you're hating life because you can't figure out how to shake zombies then don't bother

150 is fine. I've played with 200+ without issues. The game is so much less about reactions and more about positioning that i happily exchange latency for good teammates.

Does that mean they actually finished the game?

Once you figure out zombies, you realize it's other people you should have been scared of all along, and that's part of the reason this game is so brilliant.
Besides... Spawn --> hatchet --> supplies --> military.

My friends and I (total of 7) spent 4 hours last night (12-4 AM) in a Mexican standoff on some random French server (fr111). Was fun, but tiring.
We originally logged into a high pop. server with some slightly mediocre guns (1 MP5SD6, 1 M16 w/ M203, 1 M16, 1 CZ550, 1 AS50, 1 M1014 [the CZ550 guy had the M1014]) inside the church in Elektro. Our AS50 sniper was outside in his usual sniping spot (that he won't tell anyone the location of) where he could pretty much see the main streets of Elektro. Some poor unarmed sap with an [FBI] clan tag wandered in unarmed and immediately starting screaming "friendly." Originally we weren't going to kill him, until one of our guys pops him in the back (we were all kinda frustrated at him, he's our idiot of the group). About 15 minutes later, the same [FBI] guy comes back with 4 or 5 of his clan friends. We spent about 15 minutes yelling in voice chat at each other through the wall, with them trying to get us to come out (and kill, obviously) and us just yelling insults back. We double fenced the doorway so they couldn't storm the place, and we started waiting. They just kept opening and closing the doors while we crouched and lay prone in different positions inside the church. Our idiot then accidentally misthrows his grenade and it lands near the middle of the church, which kills two of our own guys. Hours of crossfire and sniping ensues (they eventually figured out we had an outside sniper) until we grew enough balls to remove the wire and storm out after they our sniper picked off 2 of them when they got a little greedy. We catch one running away and the other gets sprayed down while trying to snipe us from the school/town hall building (in the city square). I looted an M24, along with a pair of NVG and a rangefinder, while another one of our guys found a Mk.48 Mod 0. We lost the MP5 and the M16 w/ M203 though. I'd take the trade any day.
