I am going back to that tree without a doubt from now on because obviously I am invisible under it. LoL.

Was it the one on the big hill near the power plant? Pretty sure that's the one you're talking about, every time someone snipes there from my group, the exact same happens to them...noone sees them and just walks right up. But do beware some people know this and specifically try to find you there.

(its unlikely any1 found our tents with 4-6 people on the server, and they are all in cherno/starry Sorry exodus of server 1? Ah ok, I'm a bit out of the loop since I'm working most the time. I thought the server was mostly fine tbh, but there were some serious issues we tried to work with them to resolve and they turned out to be pretty bad with customer support.

I avoid dobry because people love to go sniper hunting up there.

Now every time I want to do anything I have to search for half an hour to find anything to defend myself, if I don't die due to zombies that track you for kilometers it's some rediculous 1 meter drop that breaks your legs. And the weapon locations are just horrible, you can find a weapon in maybe 1 in 10 houses, you'll have more luck finding a axe or a knife, but ofcourse, those are not the official intentional weapons and can just be ignored. Every godamn game I find these piles of ammo, bandages and food, but nothing becomes of any godamn use because I can't kill anything, and ofcourse shaking zombies is as good as impossible because hurp a durp same run speed. At this point I'm considering quiting this bullshit, I wanted to have a realistic zombie shooter, not a running away simulator with incredibly shitty controls.

Zombies are bugged, yeah, but how long have you been playing? It sounds like you don't know where to look. You can usually find a hatchet within 5 minutes and then I would advise going to barns/farm spawns. Don't look for guns in industrial nor civilian unless it's a supermarket. Barns are the easiest, then move up to military spawns, and use the dayzdb map with loot locations to navigate it. It's always rough killing zombies if you aren't indoors, but it's not that bad.

It one shots zombies and frankly is better than the Markarov you used to start with XD When you pick it up, right click and remove from toolbelt and poof, it's in your main weapon slot.

It's easy to lose zombies, and it's never gonna be a zombie shooter, it's supposed to be a survival game and that's why the starting gun was removed so that step 1 is always learning to avoid zombies rather than shooting everything and aggroing whole cities.

When you've found a sniper rifle then come back and see if you're opinion about zombies is the same.

You just need to learn where the guns spawn, and how to orienteer to those locations from where you spawn. Shaking zombies is actually incredibly easy since patch 1.7.2.2, just crouch run around in pine trees, buildings, or anything that hides line of sight. They're basically deaf to most guns too. That being said, I can't help but think that you probably should quit, because this is definitely not a zombie shooter, and the alpha stage of development isn't for the impatient.

It seems a lot of effort for incredibly little gain, the battling zombies, even with an axe, which needs it's own seperate manual. The map helps to figure out where you should go for every item but I find it somewhat rediculous I needed to know about no less then 2 online maps to make sense of an ingame situation, and having to alt tab in a game like this, especially when you see the name of a town you just entered can often turn into suicide. And as far as the makarov being removed, as you said yourself, agro'ing zombies is a massive problem with them, combine that with their low power and the rather low 8 bullets only really makes it viable for getting into one or two drop locations. Do you honestly believe starting you off with very low ammo isn't survival enough? The low ammo crappy makarov IS what you would put into a survival focussed game, removing it seems just completely pointless and just another barrier to get into the game without reading a godamn manual. Also sneaking systems are all fun and such but the extremely shitty controls and the bad programming just make it either a extremely slow ride of boredom or playing it more loose which makes it impossible to shake the aggro before you can grab your items. This just feels like one of those bad patches that makes a game stupidly difficult after fans have been complaining it was too easy, I think I'll wait till future updates fix this shit and focus on the many better games I have. Edit: And yeah, I am kind of pissed off, from what I've seen from the numerous Destiny material this seemed like an incredibly enjoyable game, to only find out now that to reach that point you have to spend 15 min to an hour depending on luck and spawn position to even get a basic weapon, from where you can actually start playing this game, if this was a one or couple of times thing I would'nt mind but at this point I spent so much time on that bullshit, it's just frustrating. I get the idea of having no weapons to fight and being chased, in Amnesia or Penumbra for instance it works incredibly well, however there it works because it's actually scary due to the game's atmosphere, story and enemy design, in this case it's like you're being chased by a bunch of annoying parasites that sound like dogs and wear idiotic french berets, it takes me out of the game and wastes a lot of my time on tedious busywork.
