I'm new to the game, but I love the atmosphere! I have two questions 1. Do you need batteries for the flashlight? I have two of them, but I don't get it to work, how do I use it? 2. What does the temerature meter mean? also, it says in the box with stats in the upper right corner: temperature:41C or whatever, why? Great game! EDIT: hmm, sry if the second question is annoying, I should just read a guide. Gonna do that, but thankful for answers anyway! Happy surviving!  | ||

2. You can get cold enough to get sick and eventually die without antibiotics, which are super rare. Perhaps someone knows when exactly you can get sick but somewhere in the low 30C you need to get a heatpack or start a fire to warm back up. I think you can warm up by just chilling in a building but it takes much longer. | ||

Flashlights don't need batteries. You want my honest opinion you want to use flashlight as little as possible. Red chemlight is better if you must have a light source. Right now night time is dark, cause there is no moon out next week will be better. Temperature at 42C is your normal temperature. If its raining your temp will drop if it drops to low you get sick start to lose blood(life) need rare antibiotics to cure. If it just finished raining then it can still drop because it's cold. If you get under a tree it can reduce the rate it goes down. To combat temp drop you either need heat pack, fire, inside a building or vehicle. | ||

The more I learn about this game the more excited I get! However, I seem to not be able to light the flashlight... I have it equipped, I see it in my hands, but mouse 1 doesn't work, I've tried some other random keys, but nothing. What am I doing wrong? | ||

Thanks! Sorry for taking up threadspace for stuff that should've been read in a guide. Or somekind of help. Which i'm reading now, ty for the link. I just wanted to keep exploring, brand new as I am^^ Just got killed, time to try and somehow loot and find useful stuff in pitch dark, without anything EDIT: Shit I'm stupid, I spawn with a flashlight.... god im lucky this aint RL. | ||
