as long as there is no content (dungeons, items etc.) sold in the cash shop i don´t see a reason to get mad about it buying a horse for real money and not ingame gold is fine with me i could even see exp boosts being not as terrible, anyone who uses them is going to skip content cause they will outlevel the quests at a certain point (and what is really the downside of others leveling faster? it won´t affect you at all...)
what i really enjoy about eso is the potentially infinite endgame, for me as a pvp player i am going to find that in cyrodiil, but even if you are more into pve: if they keep up the patch rate as promised (big content update every 4-6 weeks) there will be enough to explore to keep you busy
so far i really enjoyed the beta and i´m willing to play it for a long time! let me close this with some beta footage, feat. 2 friends of mine: (i hope you don´t mind our german screaming too much^^)

any of u guys pre order for the early access? it's in 11 days. crazy. it can be really risky pre-ordering shit and especially when eso had such a shaky beta. i guess im rolling the dice. see you on release day.

wasnt going to play this game at all. ultimately decided to order 3 imperial versions. 1 for me, 1 for bro, 1 for cousin. figure even if the game is bad, its still cheaper to play this for a few hours than alternative sources of entertainment heh

Then I suggest you wait and not support their shitty business practice.

We need some kind of TL community guild or something. Since we can have multiple guilds in ESO I'm thinking about making one just so we can chat and help each others out during the beginning leveling process.
It'd be on NA of course and using the same info that I gave in the sheet Chairman Ray started right above me.

Send me a tell if you'd like an invite and I'll oblige you with one once we get started. I have 3day access so I'll start playing on Tuesday afternoon after work.

Would love to be in a TL guild. Playing Covenant Imperial Dragonknight teamed up with an Altmer Templar.
@Khanahar in game.

I was thinking the same thing about GW2 but trust me, without a very good community that is organized, PvP in a such setting gets old quickly. Even more if the devs don't do anything to expand it/make it better. A meaning is what's missing for great PvP and TESO doesn't have that, its just another generic themepark with a map dedicated to PvP with objectives (a la GW2). You might play it for a while, but calling it a potentially infinite endgame is kinda over the top. You will most likely be fed up at some point like most themepark MMOs that doesn't bring anything new to the table. Don't put your expectation too high or you will be disappointed.
MMOs arent what they used to be, gone are the days where MMOs where a niche market, players/devs cared about the game, their teammates and their enemies. Hell, even finding a good community that will last is hard. MMO players are reputed to jump on the hype train, follow it for a while and then jump on the next one.

I agree. Unless it's really, really well done, PvP in a predefined area a la GW2 gets pretty boring. Though, the only example I have is GW2, and GW2's awful combat system accounts for a lot of that.
The real joy of PvPing happened through questing and mats gathering in older MMOs. You'd be killing your mobs or gathering your resources in the open world, and then conflict would arise. Sometimes it'd stay 1v1, other times it'd grow into group PvP. It was wicked cool. :-(

I dunno. I play StarCraft. Infinite PVP, provided its skill-based and interesting, doesn't sound so bad to me.
