Two weeks to the game launches, after everyone had already preordered the game, they add a cash shop. Fuckity fuck fuck fuckity. Zenimax promised us there will be no cash shop - not even cosmetic items. Everyone has already preordered the game, and a lot of people have even scheduled time off work at launch. If they told us from the start, I wouldn't have bothered with this game, but after all this hype, and the tedious process for getting a refund... Fuuuuuck. | ||

They said from the beginning there would be a cash shop. They were very careful not to go into the details of its content until after the CE were sold out, but still. During the first "outrage" of the CE, Zenimax pointed out that it would be possible to upgrade from the standard version to the CE, and obviously, it's going to be done through a cash shop. Now, they're introducing a mount, and people rise back up again. It's both funny and sad. I am so sure this game is going to crash incredibly hard now. They're already selling hard content and locking races behind pay walls, within two months of release they'll be selling additional inventory bags, and after 4 months they'll be selling skins and stuff. Then, after 10 to 12 months, the F2P model will arrive. | ||

Imperial style can be gotten by anyone, and the only thing different are the racials. Vanity shit, who cares about it. Actual content? Like dungeons and what not? Stop pulling stuff out of your ass no sign of that coming. And about the mount, you can get a mount by lvl20 by normal means. The average lvl when you get mounts in every other game. Except the ESO mount is not even close to the same lvl as in other MMOs. The thing sucks until you upgrade it at least 20x. It's also almost an annoyance to use beyond fast travelling when you don't want to wayshrine. | ||

It'd be silly to deny that Zenimax's attitude with the game seems incredibly greedy. Exclusive CE content is one thing, a whole race (it's a race, more than just a style, it has racial traits and what not) is something else entirely. If you like the game and intend on playing it, more power to you, I'm not attacking you personally, but you don't need to go out and attack anyone who thinks ESO is adopting a greedy approach. You may think differently, but you can be civilized about it. | ||
