Reading this, I'm really sorry. I didn't thought they would send me the same key twice. Glad you got a working one.
I can't dissolve my key from my account right?

no, and you can't trade accounts either (although most people dgaf)

Another invite, and another disappointment because I will never be able to download the entire beta with my bandwidth restrictions. I considered pre-ordering a hard copy of the game but now that it is known that ESO will be subscription based I don't think I will be playing it.

I don't wanna play so have fun.

Anyone think the game is worth the download time? Got beta access and didn't even bother after seeing such negative reviews by liquidian's last beta weekend. Have uni work to get done over the weekend, so is there any joy to be had in playing 2-6 hours of this?
For reference, sunk over 400 hours into Oblivion + Skyrim, & played WoW, GW, GW2 to max level in the past.
TLDR: Is this fun

if you enjoy WoW leveling in a TES costume with hundreds of fetch quests just so they can say " hey we dont have 'kill ten bears' quests" then yea it will be fun for you. the beta didnt change from the last beta weekend and I doubt that anything is going to change until release so I guess if you have the chance get into the beta and see for yourself if you would enjoy this game.

After playing last beta test: It was a waste of bandwidth and harddrive-space. But then again, it's probably better to see it for yourself, as always.

Hey,
Is this game have serious optimisation problem (being a beta and all)? My GF have a MSI laptop with a GTX 670, 4gb ram and an i5 processor. The game asks in recommanded configuration for a 400Serie.
She can't play the game. It's like 1FPS in medium and it's only playble in "minimum".
Is that normal ?
Also are people having problem to log ? On my pc, i double click on my character and i have "requesting character load for 20minutes now"

A laptop version of 670 is probably not really better than a normal 400'ish one. The difference between performances of lap top and normal graphic cards is huge.

what about a GTX 770? is that more than enough for this game?
|
I've got a GTX 670m, an i7 processor and 8gb of RAM and I can run FFXIV in normal-high with no problem and 60 fps at almost any time. Laptop of course.
More RAM would probably help, I don't know that the graphic card is that much worse.

50fps on Witcher2 ultra. And i can run BF4 in medium on that laptop. I know that it's not a "real" 670GTX but still way better than a 400serie from what i have read

Would love to but can't... The ram placement is sealed with the warranty....

How long is the warranty valid for?
My laptop was guaranteed for a year, so now I'm pretty much free to do what I want with it without voiding it, since it's not there anymore.

The servers are utterly overloaded atm. Loading times are insane because of it. Guess they got there Stress Test this time. Last weekend loading times were fine :p

First beta i was a little bit excited about it but after seeing EverQuest Next which have totally gone many many leaps ahead in the MMO genre i have huge doubts about it. They are very different games. ESO goes for more realistic bloody type of game while EverQuest is more adventure and cartoony. But ESO doesnt do many things differently.... and with montly pay..... they cant justify montly pay by adding more content. MMO content is never good, if you create a good gameplay then there is no need for developers to pushing in quest content like that. MMO quests are usually just mindnumbing boring.
My mind is just 100% focused on EverQuest right now, just the alpha of EverQuest feels just incredible and thats just the crafting part of it.

EverQuest: Next looks very interesting, though it is free to play. SOE has a bad record with the free to play business model, so one should be at least a little reserved with their expectations.
MMO quests are always the same: yeah pretty much. The genre has been explored to death by now, you won't see any major revolution happening. GW2 is the closest thing you have to a new type of MMO if you ask me, simply because there is so much stuff to do on it (exploration, world completion, jumping puzzles, mini-games a la Super Adventure Box, structured PvP and WvWvW, etc.).
All you can really hope for is a polished game play, an interesting story and a compelling combat system. GW2 came very close to being the perfect game for me, but the overly messy and cluttered combat system just drove me away. Which is a shame, because I consider the game to be damn fine otherwise, but you can only spend so many hours doing JPs and exploring before getting bored.
I think the MMO genre is just done for, to be honest. Right now I'm playing FFXIV and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Depending on how the evolution of PvP turns out, I might stick around or not. But I certainly don't see it as a ground-breaking game, it does most everything recent MMOs do, it doesn't turn it over, but it does it well. The quests are fairly basic yet not tiresome, because you rarely have to kill more than 8 monsters. But in the end all MMOs become boring, unless the PvP is really, really good.
