Not impressed at all.. oO I have high hopes for the pvp portion. Somehow I don't think the focus of an Elder Scrolls MMO is going to be PVP. I guess I could be wrong.
More than anything I just don't think the Elder Scrolls series fits into an MMO, even less than KOTOR-SWTOR.

Imagine the disconnect for TES titles.
TES notorious for absolutely, totally garbage combat system. DAoC best pvp mmo.
Wai wat? :D

^This is more likely to garner a larger fanbase then this game probably will.
Won't touch it with a 10 foot pole. Single player franchises need to stay single player. Maybe they thought after all the patching fiascos with skyrim, it'd be easier to use that excuse if their game was an MMO

Ugh, misclicked quote instead of edit, please delete if possible

Time to ruin another great single player series by making it a mmo .... for moar maneeh.

I disagree with pretty much everyone in this thread. The Elder Scrolls are pretty terrible as single player games. The open worlds combined with wooden NPCs make for a lonely experience. I'd love to play ESO on a good RP server.

Yawn, another cookie cutter MMORPG.
I'd LOVE to get back into this genre if they could re-hash it and make it less grindy.
|
It's pretty amusing to bash TESO for being just another MMO before any details been released.

I'll probably still be playing Oblivion by the time this game dies, unless they don't screw it up. It would be really awesome if they didn't screw it up though, but I just don't see them doing this well.
On the positive side, I have always liked the idea of a TES MMO since I started playing Oblivion. I think that they could actually make the combat rather good and actually fairly skill based if done right, which would be awesome.
Also, you can't just make a single player game, which you have pretty much complete control over and are basically a demigod, into an MMO where there are 1 million other people like you.

I for one welcome playing Skyrim multiplayer the official standalone expansion.
SELLIN 100 MANA POTS 50GP EACH.
|
I hope they will continue the franchise with a game like skyrim after this. Not any multiplayer or co-op feature is needed imo.

w00t!!
just get the PvP right and I'm in!!

Well won't feel like an elder scrolls game if it isn't at like like skyrim/oblivion in terms of playing.

It's supposed to feel "lonely". It's a single player game...... they tend to do that. Because it doesn't have multiplayer doesn't mean its a terrible single player game. That is horrible logic.

People are so negative from the start. Just wait till the game comes out and then judge.

Current track record of MMOs released post WoW. Much reason to be optimistic?

Well, Elder Scrolls has quite a bit of pretty interesting lore and a lot of provinces that have not been shown yet in any Elder Scrolls game. I really hope they retain the Elder Scrolls "spirit" in this game instead of just copy and pasting generic MMO gameplay into Tamriel.
Also, I hope they recreate the Morrowind province in its full glory. I really want to return to Vvardenfell and prance around my pile of loot that I dropped next to High Fane.
