You're going to get owned by Unionize and other removal/debuff spells if you count on flagknight spam.

Otherwise, I'll stick with New Maid Training + Unlucky Lady + Guard Maid or Black Magic Plot + Mop Maid + Guard Maid, or something along those longs. If I can continue drawing into New Maid Training or Black Magic, my two followers will quickly spiral out of control and smash everything in 3-4 turns ^_^

I thought the numbers on the cards in the Science Lab were how many you had. Turns out it's the number it requires for crafting. ...And I just happened to have all of the same numbers of materials as were required for this card. Which means I lost my first 25 of each material for a piece of chocolate :'( Edit: I give up, I'm making a new account before I get too invested in the old one where I wasted all my tokens. This is free I don't have to waste money on booster decks It's an RPG It is anime themed The OP says it is deep and you compared it to yugioh and such, nice! I'm not sure if I like if it's also based on luck instead of "pure math". I guess luck makes it more fun and strategic though! I'M INTERESTED (and thanks for sharing!)

But yeah, first time I saw those knights in action I was like: "Fuck those things are way too strong". Also I haven't really noticed a difference in difficultly in dungeons. I went from the Beginner one to the Crux training one (I think), and it doesn't seem any harder. Just many more levels. The Sci Academy interface should be tweeked I think. They need to let you see how much of each material you actually have while crafting.

Also some crux tips: I've found that the best counter to spells like shrink or swap isn't a luck-based hard counter like brilliant brain, but rather just knowing the finite number of counters in your enemy's deck/faction and knowing how to deal with those removals. Since it's a game of prediction anyway, there are a lot of strong ways to counter such spells without having to waste space in your deck for otherwise useless cards. Quick service, for example, is a great alternative to swap or shrink once you get a few turns in. Since there's really no difference between a 40/_/40 and a 20/_/20 on a mutually empty field, you might as well pack a card that can clean up your side and get out an ultrabuffed sinclair at the same probability as an actual counter. Chrono clock works as a buff + counter to mother demon, unionize, arrest. Depending on what you have in play, you can subvert dark secret by having a higher-size blocker in slot 2 and having any one of your low cost buffs in slots 1-4. Something like mass recall or forced entry hurts, but rarely do you see a deck that has such diverse removal, since if that happens, they will more likely than not run into trouble with keeping their field not wide-open for direct damage. When you're farming dungeon, seeing the card slots is critical. You know you're safe from swap, for example, if card slot 3 is empty. Also, keeping your own behemoth in card slot 3 is just the safest thing you can do. Additionally, beyond basic tactics, I've found that strategic goals are wiser than others. Getting a 80/20/80 pintail on the field is cool in a screenshot, but not cool if you actually want to win. You don't need to get that absurdly strong... just strong enough to 1 hit kill anything that can stop you. Once you have your beast on the field, you want to switch toward a more conservative strategy that keeps your shit safe, like playing additional follower cards that can tank for your snowball as well as do extra size-boosted direct damage once your opponent's field is clean. In general, snowball effects are only so effective in this game, since you can have a 80/80 on the field and still get decked by a stall if you can't outdamage the heals and the ever-recycled 1-size walls that pop out every turn. I want this game to have some size 1-2 cards that pop onto the field and say "return a card from your graveyard to the bottom of your deck" with no other useful abilities or some other abilities that actually INCREASE the size of a friendly card without too many side effects just to have some non-retarded counterplay to stall. Direct damage would be nice too.

Direct damage would be nice too. These cards exist. Certain characters in future releases can't be decked. However, combat remains the best way to win. It really seems like you want a gimmick deck, not a control deck. Even in MtG, almost every control deck wins by attacking with creatures, and it's the same here.

I love everything else about it though so I'm gonna give it a few more shots, but yeesh. It just seems whoever has the strongest deck and the luckiest draw wins, and there's not a lot of strategy beyond deployment order and deck building, which will require soooooo much grinding.

On April 16 2012 20:01 Gummy wrote: Is there an easier way of farming blue ores than just farming everything else and then using alchemy? The only way to get blue ore without tokens is as you stated: dungeon fights and transmuting other ores into it. The trick is to build your Crux uncommons and rares with your ore. For your double rares, build them in other factions using up the excess ore you have for them. Once you complete their double rare, you can transmute one double rare a week into a different factions double rare - so you basically use that to turn it into a Crux double rare. It is also worth noting one should get cards in episode order. Later episode cards take much, much more effort to get. For example, Crux's episode 1 double rare of Pacifism (http://swogitools.com/card.php?id=200030) takes 136 ore and 60 cat dolls. Meanwhile. the episode 4 double rare of Resurgence (http://swogitools.com/card.php?id=200132) takes 384 ore and 288 cat dolls. So - the lower the episode, the less time it will take to craft equivalent level cards.
