Sta is generally the weakest stat, since it only checks once, and it does nothing on its own. Atk is the only stat that directly affects the board, so it's the most important overall, but that doesn't mean high Atk > high Def necessarily. In comparing individual cards, it's a lot more complicated than just comparing the stats; you have to figure out what your deck wants to do, and what the metagame requires. In the first ladder season, Rosie was basically unplayable while Luthera was great, because every DL deck had 5-6 reverse defense followers, too many people ran Shield Break, and Null Defense is also very powerful. There are a ton of cards that punish you for having high Def and attempting to buff Atk, whereas having a high natural Atk is always safe. Also, in a metagame where everyone is running gigantic buffed followers, the difference between 3 and 5 Def is pretty negligible. Rosie and Luthera both get 2-shot by the same range of followers, though Rosie is a little easier to 1-shot. | ||

Or, you can use cards which remove follower abilities, or let you fill your hand up (Azure Cross Meeting, Seeker Odien, etc.) | ||

Until episode EX2 when they introduce this card. Then there is potential for high base stats, no nega-abilities, and extra atk/sta on top. Then you can use Degredation next turn. | ||

FFFUU Sharp(ninamori) was building some decks with me, my lig deck is REALLY strong now but... He built another freakin control deck and i KNOW it's going to win (tip wedding characters are STILL the best in the game and if you wanna in ladder trololo) I can barely even with it, so hopefully best case scenario we take places 1 and 2 lol | ||
