I have beaten other normal dungeons before I'm not sure if it'll be a problem.

The levels leading up to the boss are a joke.
He is probably the hardest normal boss overall though.
But with a dirt easy first 19 floors either way you get more attempts on the boss and it's easier to obtain blood pacts.

Thanks for the tips guys. =) Also how can I refer others to this game? I can't find the option to =\.

Hot damn this is addictive, Scootaloo, Crux.
I'm a bit dissapointed with how much ingame control you have compared to the to me more familiar systems of MtG and Pokemon cards (although I played both only digitally) but all in all it's a very amusing game, from what I hear this feeling becomes less appearant once you start actually crafting cards and such so I hope to find this concern taken away.
It's amusing how the decks are essentially fetishes, boobs, schoolgirls, emo/gothic chicks and animal girls/furries respectively (furry is probably too strong of a word and catgirl too specific but you get the idea), I wonder if people base their deck choice mostly on styles of play of aesthetic preference, I know it played a rather big factor for me (prolly woulda gone for black otherwise that's usually the style I prefered in magic, but didn't feel like staring at a bunch of vampires all the time, which I inherited from Pratchett, i.e. before Twilight, cue hipster glasses).

Not sure if I agree. She seems much easier than Sigma at least, and about the same difficulty as Lig Nijes. If you can snowball things fast, she isn't a real problem. Just add a few Healing Magics to your deck.

Most attractive to most male is Crux I'd dare saying. Boobs + knight is mostly a winning combo. Mind me, I'd play it myself if I'd not hate playing the "most played" race/class in any game.
On another point, I'm playing Academy and it's not because of fetishes xD Maids are simply awesome, if you don't think so, Sakuya will stab you.

From what I saw on this thread actually Crux is the least played, I suppose because as far as fetish goes they're a bit boring. You could easily make a point that Academy, because everyone (cept me) loves schoolgirls, or vampire 'tsundere' chicks or catgirls are the most popular, without a decent source of reference it's all blank statements though, so lets do one now:
Poll: Deck choice?Crux (11) 44% Vita (6) 24% Darklore (5) 20% Academy (3) 12% 25 total votes Your vote: Deck choice? (Vote): Vita (Vote): Academy (Vote): Crux (Vote): Darklore

So I need to actually think about making a good deck. Not just a dungeon grinder. Have all the rare followers except: fleta, medic, lydia, and nemesis Think lydia sucks.
|
Concerning decks, as complete newbie (finished first dungeons boss and all before with starter deck, without a hitch at least) is there a list of optimal or pro decks like you could easily find with MtG or PTC? Checking out Celerity's deck was quite useful to get an idea of what I should be heading for but I need to see more of them to get a better sense of what I want my ultimate deck to be.
|
Lydia is extremely strong in pvp as well as pve. Size 3 makes for easy placement while a strong debuff effect makes for a good sniper. If she does not kill, she cripples. The 11 starting stamina and 1 defense is not bad at all for a 3 size follower.
Vampire land boss is hard for crux decks to deal with, and just straight snowballing does not work for crux. She runs a total of 10 debuff/removal spells, 2 of those being misfits, so just straight snowball does not work with crux. Put together with the fact that you are essentially starting at 22 life, its not easy trying to win with snowballing large size followers.
@Scootaloo
Start by making an optimal grinding deck. That is the first necessity. Once you have that, you are now in a position to plan out a pvp deck. Decide what type of deck you want to make and proceed from there. I would not suggest big followers right now.
|
I basically just put big followers in play until my field is full. Then I press ready. Then I usually win. .-.
|
So before I try this... Does it influence the game in any way if you have more friend on facebook playing? It does look rather interesting though =)
|
Don't quote me on this, but I think you get referral bonuses.
|
Thats a one time thing? Because thats fine. I just hate game where some mechanics favor having more friends playing...
|
Most of the people I know in game only keep a friends list to see if others are online, and even then they don't check it at all most of the time.
Also, if you are going to play, please join channel 4 and join in the chat. Makes it more entertaining for everyone.

Just played against an Academy deck full of cards that increased the size of my followers...but had no reliable way to get rid of them so my Vanguard Knight just smashed through with 22 ATK XD
Also, yeah I play Crux. Was always a fan of green decks in MtG, even though they were inefficient and easily countered(=Crux). And I like the knight theme. Other factions...I don't like maids(don't hurt me), not a big fan of schoolgirls either and vampires/witches - meh.

Yes I was aware that I would need both a PvP and a grind deck, I mainly wanted to know some resource where some common or pro decks where listed as there seems to be no list like this on Swogitools (not that I've managed to find at any rate), if you could link me there I'll be able to plan both.
Just managed to beat the intermediate boss with my starter deck, although I managed to minimize the losses to a single one on the path there many of the post 10th floor games where way too close for comfort, really need to start building a strong team and throwing out the crap cards.
And yeah Gummy, often times this is the best method, in my case I need to play the occasional buff spell or buffing unit but mostly you're just summoning your 4-5 point monsters, I suspect with stranger more varied cards later in the game though that this will be solved.
Edit: Or at least tell me the most effective way of getting a good grinding deck, I read in the thread you shouldn't buy booster packs, does that mean you have to craft the whole thing? Half the cards in there require loads of other cards to even be made and the others crap like 100 dragon tears or some other rediculous resource and quantity.

Adomine ~ Crux
Really enjoying this, going to spend a lot of time in it that's for sure.

If you look back into this thread, a common grinding deck is,
10 buffs 2 Kanas 1-2 removal/resets Rest, snowballing followers.
