![]() Question regarding Hall of Monuments (which isn't the only reason I'm playing it, btw) - Is there anything I should know, or plan ahead for in regards to building/speccing/naming my character in GW1, for GW2? I've just started going through the Prophecies campaign as an Elementalist/Monk. I just wondered if there's a chance to 'get it wrong' when it comes to the HoM rewards.

Nothing, from gw1 you just get rewards from HoM and you reserve the name of the characters from gw1 for gw2. You cant get it wrong, maybe will take a while as a Ele/Mo. Some tips: -Pick and sell everything, and i mean everything. Dont waste gold. (wish someone told me that when i started) - Dont know if you have all the expansions. If you have all get Sabway asap, you can also go for Discordway but with Sabway you dont need to play, they kill everything by themself (usefull when you need to split your party). Do Nightfall, Factions, Prophecies, EoTN in that order. - If you want to rush make a Ritualist/X or a Ranger/Ritualist and run a SpiritSpammer build. You kill everything so fast and with Sabway you will have no problem (again wish someone told me that before) - I followed PyschoPowerRangers hero build. + Show Spoiler + - After you are done with Nightfall do the Chest runs. (20k gold and 12 gold weapons) + Show Spoiler + - After all the campeings get the armor for your heroes, get the phonix and the black moa, do War in Kryta for the weapon, get the Black Moa Chick, get Luxion Armor (hopefully you will have enoght gold at the end of all to buy it) and you will have 20 points. Thats the fastes way imo. (worked for me) for 21 to 30 points is just farming. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guide_to_earning_Hall_of_Monuments_rewards#Quick_guide_to_30_points for more info. good luck and patience.

![]() Yea, I have all the campaigns. I bought the Trilogy and EoTN. edit - Quick question. You said play Nightfall first, but can I create a Ritualist if I do it before Factions? Sorry for these newbie questions, btw. edit #2 - Ok, I just did a quick google search for playing a ritualist in nightfall and the info I came across suggested that I would have to start my ritualist in factions, but then jump over to the nightfall campaign when it becomes available. Does this sound about right? If so, I'll get making my Ritualist character over in Factions and start there.

His advice on the order to do things is not strict. Feel free to start with a Ritualist and do all of Factions first or jump straight to Nightfall when you can do so. @ anyone experienced - Between a Mesmer and a Assassin, which clears content or does everything faster or farms armor faster right now?

Yes, Firebolt is right, you will be able to jump into Nightfall at some point just check when. Remember Sabway asap (check what you need to do to get the 3 necros, wiki ♥ u) and dont try to do the bonus missions. Rush all the campaigns, after you get your heroes do the bonus misions. dont be like me and get frustated trying and trying again and again. In the Hall of Monuments page type my character name: Vale Ario If you need precise info in what to get. I got lucky and someone from my guild had a extra raremini so i didnt needed the Luxon and just went for the Ancient (easiest to get and cheapest). Save gold because the Luxon is really expensive for new players. almost 100k i think. If you can get in a guild do it, it helps. if you need something more just ask. One more tip There is a mission in EoTN (Heart of the Shiverpeaks) that tells you to kill a gigant worm, Cyndr. The easiest way to kill him is to make him appear on top of the npc that gives you the bombs (just bomb him until he appears there), once there just run behind the wall (tunnel) and use necro ranged skills that steal life, they ingnore his inmunity armor, behind the wall he wont be able to hit you. (and again, i wish someone told me that before omg) gl man

They both can do fine, but Assassin definitely has the edge while also having some build variety. If Mesmers want to do damage they really have to focus on it. With Assassins its more about how you want to do the damage. That said, with heroes being customisable it doesn't really matter which class you pick.
