That makes me reconsider getting this game. After terrible experiences with Origin and Games for Windows Live, I'm not really interested in pursuing more exclusives. Honestly, they need to stop putting exclusives on obscure services. It feels like they're using the game to promote the service, not the service to promote the game, which is wrong(in my opinion).

I still remember years ago my friend got baldurs gate 2 for his bday and we were playing the game stuck on the first boss. Game at the time was so amazing

I really like the answers I see on his twitter (especially the fact that there taking mods and localisation pretty seriously). Only thing I'm disappointed in is digital only. When there's a great game that I really love, I like to have my physical copy and my handbook... I know it has been a trend for quite some time and I no longer expect companies to put time into making a sick package but still, I'm glad I have my physical copy of Skyrim and The Witcher 2 ![]() Let's hope the game generates so much success that they reconsider this position!

I wouldn't mind using it a couple of times to have the whole BG series revamped. I'd like to know who's working on this game though. It was mentioned that members of the original team would participate, but who? Trent Oster himself was a manager, not a creator. I would be really excited if people responsible for the original plot, scenario, dialogues and design were part of Beamdog. We'll see next week.

Kidding aside, I really hope this includes plenty of new content and not just a bit of shiny.

Regarding the "coming Summer 2012", does it mean that they started the development months ago ?

Of course i'll still wait to the actual release and see a review or video from a source i trust; sword of the stars 2 was too horrible to ever preorder anything again. Now imagine how much money squaresoft/square/enix could make with a graphical update of FF VII
