Well iirc tebow came into the league on to a team that was like 1-4 or something and turned that into 8-8 by the end of the year he wasn't the starter coming out of the season it was Kyle Orton I believe. But yeah tebow football is not pretty but it got them there, so I mean he can't be that bad because not any quality of qb could be there but yeah there was a good team surrounding him.

What's weird about tebow is that he was a 1st round pick and the 2nd qb to be picked in the 2010 draft yet he can't seem to impress people during off season to earn a full time qb position.

So many people reference this but don't look at the game state. Kyle Orton was QBing a much more aggressive, vertical passing attack offense. He wasn't playing ball control offense, had turnovers, and the defense didn't get to be in a ball control slugfest like they did with Tebow.

Imo anyone who claims Tebow helped them to the 8-8 wasn't paying enough attention. In my estimation it's more that he didn't lose them games, and Willis McGahee, that O-line and their defense won them games. Tebow's biggest plays were often defensive breakdowns (vJets QB scramble) or that one playoff TD vs Pittsburgh (awful secondary play, DT turns a slant into a TD). Tebow doesn't win you games, and when you're in the playoffs against a Manning or a Brady your QB will need to carry the load.
