Yeah always liked Michael Bush. I think he is more of a 1a back than a true cowbell (like what the Giants did with bradshaw and jacobs for a few years), but a damn good back none the less.
Agree about the backs for Fantasy. There are a bunch of good players out there, but many with major questionmarks.
I think Forte will be good to go. MJD I think will report and be fine.
Don't trust AP or Charles off the bat, but I'd swing on them in the 3rd. Those are major injuries for the way they play.
McFadden is awesome but he is like how Frank Gore was his whole career, tantilizing talent, but it is a matter when, not if he gets injured.
CJ I don't trust at all, but his saving grace is that the offense is so pitiful without him that he's gonna get the rock like 300 times this year. He will get by on volume.
Matthews, I think will be useful, but because of the lack of depth people are gonna have him as the 4th or 5th off the board. I honestly don't know about that. I think there's a few that will go after him that will have similar success.
Don't trust Richardson or Martin at all. I think both will be ok. but Richardson as a top 5 back is fucking nuts.
I think Murray, both Jacksons, Lynch, Reggie Bush, Gore, Turner and Bradshaw is where you'll get solid value in the 3rd or so. Everyone there should break 1000 and like 8tds if healthy at least. Everyone minus Gore and Turner should get you 30+ catches too.
What is the deal with the TB and DET rb situations? I keep reading different things.
Also, Schiano is supposedly cutting Kellen Winslow??? What a fucking moron. Winslow is so underrated, and with VJax there, he'd finally be able to run free.

doug martin is set to be the cowbell for the team. blount can run a bit, but he is useless in pass protection.
as for detroit, leshoure has a hamstring issue and best is still sidelined from concussion symptoms. kevin smith looks to be the rb heading into opening week but honestly if i were playing fantasy, i wouldn't take any of the lions backs.

I wouldn't read too much into that. Who plays with the starters in preseason games will probably be more telling.

The third game is where it really means the most usually, if I recall?
I am not banking on Blount. Martin is suppsoed to be more skilled, and Blount was so lazy that the team had to get him a driver service to practices because he was late every day otherwise, and lived 3 miles away lol

Pre-season LET'S DO THISSSS. It's been too long, NFL!

IT'S FOOTBALL SEASON
time to watch Chargers vs Packers and get bored after 1st quarter
|
Took Vick 1 quarter into the first preseason game to get his first (albeit minor) injury...
|
yeah i saw that lol
i missed the games. anything noteworthy besides that??
|
Ahhhhhhh it feels so good to have football on the TV... even if its Pre-season.
And the added bonus... Patriots game is on NFL network here and then the Panthers... I am in heaven!
Go Brady and GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CAMMMMMMM
|
This whole Chad Johnson thing is hilarious. He head-butts his wife, gets arrested for domestic violence, gets kicked off the Dolphins, loses his TV show, and now his wife of a month and a half wants a divorce. What a pro.

Andrew Luck started off quite well. 63 yard touchdown pass on his first play from scrimmage. Maybe he is really what everyone said he was when he was at Stanford.
I think Jake Locker got the nod this week over Matt Hasselbeck. Should be interesting to see how he does starting even if it is preseason.

I think its gonna be hard to be a Jets fan this season

When is it easy to be a Jets fan?

Jet fans see Chad Pennington at camp and they get a feeling of nostalgic reverence. If that isn't proof oh how terrible the Jets franchise has been I don't know what is...

Fucking pumped for this season, finally it's not going to be people shouting green bay green bay green bay all the time. Excited to see Peyton at Denver, it's a real doosey that one. The Wildcat for the Jets...SF coming on strong, my Patriots are coming to play in my backyard and I'm going to see them with my gf :D...will be interesting to see if any of the up and coming teams push through into the next level (ie lions, seahawks). Anyone have a guess on who's going to be the best RB this year?

Haha that's such a tempered conversation. If they both weren't fully aware that they were being filmed and their conversation would be on HBO 2 days later it would have been much more fun.

I am sure they were aware they were being filmed. However, I also think Chad knew exactly what was going to occur in that meeting and there was nothing he could say or do to change it. An outburst during that conversation would only hurt him in the future and there is no way it would have stayed behind closed doors.
