They just can't get it together, shut down hester block a fg and of course logan starts muffing punts.
Can they at least score so where not the second team to get shut out this season.

I was pretty disappointed in the offense though. They had plenty of opportunities to really put the game out of reach, and fell short several times. The OLine was shown to be what it is tonight: bad. There was one play that really stuck out in my mind as exemplary of how bad the mental mistakes are from the OLine. Suh was lined up on the end, and came free while Carimi decided to double the inside man, forcing Jay to dump it off to Forte in the right flat immediately. Really poor play from them. Luckily, Cutler is fairly fleet of foot, and was able to pick up some key first downs running the ball. If not for his running ability, they would not have been in the red zone for Marshall to ever score. That OLine has so much work to do, and it needs to get better very quickly, because they have some dominating defenses coming up over the next few weeks (Texans, Niners), as well as the Seahawks, Cardinals, and Packers again. As nice as the win was today, there's still a lot of work that this team has to do.

Divisional games are rough, even when one team should clearly be better. The Colts struggled past their divisional rivals in a lot of seasons where they were pretty much whitewashing other teams. They just know each others schemes better, almost as if they have the other teams playbook and they're just scheming against it. I think you are onto something here. I only go to watch the 4th quarter because I had to work till 10:30pm, but it seems like defenses have adjusted to Matt Stafford, but he hasn't adjusted to them. In the first few drives he was missing open guys (though to be fair, it seemed like Scheffler wasn't expecting that quick throw to him on that one 3rd down), and near the end forcing throws even with minimal pressure on him. The Lions refusal to run the ball probably hurts as well, which I find sad because I like what I've seen out of Mikel Leshore and Joique Bell (except those two embarrassing redzone fumbles). I see teams drop everyone into zone coverage every play and they end up having to do some crazy throws on the sidelines to Titus Young, or forcing it to Calvin Johnson. The part that made me most sad though, was that the Lions' defense played really well, and the offense didn't help them at all ![]() Edit @ last post: Cutler looked pretty good at reading the Lions' D though. He was picking up on blitzes and dumping the ball off quickly for gains; they burned a lot of time off the clock getting extra first downs that way.

Oh well, at least Broyles will come in. The Megatron/Young/Broyles trio will probably be a Lions staple for the next decade (if things end up well).

Bills will outscore a bad Titans team, whose defense has not been great this season. Cardinals D will show up and force some turnovers from Ponder, giving short fields to work with. Giants pass rush will be too much for the young RG3. The 'Girls are in a must win situation, I think they come out hungry. If they don't, their season is basically over, imo. Texans beat up the injured Ravens. The Jaguars suck, but the Raiders suck more. Yikes, lol 7 for 12

I wouldn't change it up. If you change it up every 4 years it would be hard cause u can't really mix things up with teams playing in different time zone. Shoot, remember before 2002 (that's when they changed it from 3 to 4 divisions in each conference) the Atlanta Falcons was in the NFC west? Do you know how much traveling was going on back then? It was crazy. It got a lot of people wondering how a team in Atlanta was in a western division. The NFL set things up where each year a division would play another division. For example the NFC west is playing the AFC east this year. And next year the NFC west would be playing the AFC south. Do you guys remember when : AFC East New England Patriots Miami Dolphins New York Jets Indianapolis Colts Buffalo Bills AFC Central Pittsburgh Steelers Baltimore Ravens Cleveland Browns Tennessee Titans Jacksonville Jaguars Cincinnati Bengals AFC West Oakland Raiders Seattle Seahawks Denver Broncos Kansas City Chiefs San Diego Chargers NFC East Philadelphia Eagles Washington Redskins New York Giants Dallas Cowboys Arizona Cardinals NFC Central Minnesota Vikings Green Bay Packers Tampa Bay Bucs Detroit Lions Chicago Bears NFC West San Francisco 49ers Atlanta Falcons St.Louis Rams Carolina Panthers New Orleans Saints **Note the AFC Central had 6 teams everyone else had 5. ***Houston Texans wasn't around yet. Look at the NFC west. Wtf @ Carolina and Atlanta being in the western division. And Arizona was in the NFC east. But to answer your if i was to rearrange every 4 years i would probably rearrange it by alphabetically order. A-Z haha. Edit : Ughh this came out really really ugly. For some reason it doesn't have the spaces i put to split the NFC and AFC side. I can't fix it.

I don't think changing it up is that hard to do, you know where you are going to be every week. Traveling shouldn't be to much of a issue with 1 game a week. If other sports can play multiple games a week one day of travel shouldn't be a problem. I know not much is going to change just interested in how others would set up there divisions.

The Panthers overpay slightly above average players way too much and it's really weakened the rest of their starters and depth.

If other sports can play multiple games a week one day of travel shouldn't be a problem. I know not much is going to change just interested in how others would set up there divisions. It's pointless to compare the NFL to other sports in terms of scheduling. None of the other sports are as physically demanding as the NFL (they can't hit each other, except in hockey, where players weigh 100-150lbs less). There's just something different about it. Game times matter in the NFL more than other sports (probably increases/decreases in rest times, largely). But that's not why it's a bad idea. Football is predicated on two things: 1) loving your team, 2) hating every other team in your division. In other words, this would kill rivalries, which is what nfl fans love so much. There's nothing better than rubbing in a Bears victory in a Packers fan's face to most Bears fans (not me, I'm not a shit talker for work I didn't do). If you take divisions away, you lose this, which really hurts the fandom of the sport. That's the biggest reason divisions exist. Otherwise it'd just be two conferences, and the top X teams advance to the playoffs. What the NFL has done for their scheduling is pretty brilliant. Over four years, each team will play each other at least once. And to balance out preseason strength of schedule, and create more opportunities for lesser teams, teams get to play the teams in equal standing from the previous season from the three conference divisions that they don't play in a season.
