His energy was through the roof, this was personal and he was quoted as saying things like 'I don't just wanna win, I wanna hurt Jon'. Those sorts of comments are the mental strength that was driving him through this. You could see it in his entire mannerisms, he was full out going to win this. Recently in the past few weeks, his interviews have toned down a bit. He's reverted to saying much more diplomatic stuff. His answers indirectly state the acceptance that losing is a possibility. He's talking about just enjoying it. Fair enough... many guys go down this route. Rashad used to. But this fight is personal, and we've seen a full swing reversal. I don't think Rashad is all there mentally. He has changed from wanting to physically murder Jones, to a more... hm I'm not entirely sure how to describe it. His inner fire is no longer there. Sure he got in his face at the staredown but personally, I've always found the way people speak, the emotions, words and conviction say so much more than a mean mug at the weigh ins. As much as I want Evans to close the distance... pft. He's not. He's not a versatile enough striker, he doesn't throw decent kicks with his left leg at all, just way too one dimensional. His victory over Phil Davis is hardly great, because phil davis isn't that great in all honesty, I don't have him as a future star. I think Jones will pick him apart with his range, and in all honesty if Rashad ends up on his back, he's done. Poor guard (decent scramble to be fair), tiny limbs, vs fucking dhalism like limbs, and a ruthless top game. God I hope I eat my words though and he pummels Jones. Did you see the weigh in's? After he finished his PC speech to Rogan he walked away from the mike, started chest beating and said something along the lines "it's my time I'm going to k*ll this motherf*cker"... even if those aren't the exact words I think that was the sentiment... I don't think Rashad is at all afraid of Jon Jones and if anyone's going to beat him in the near future, it'll be Rashad. Otherwise, Jon Jones will have to wait for the next wave of LHW's or some of the current LHW's will have to lift their game to the next level. How long this process takes will determine how long Jones will reign as top dog in the division.

Walk through some punches and try to get a decent shot in... and you know, finish the f*cking fight... or at least try to finish. Terrible fight. Terrible... no heart, just calculated strategic BS.

Players who have awesome Macro OR 2. Players who have awesome Micro 1. dry game and they win (usually) over a prolonged period of time by slowly building up an advantage or 2. exciting game always on a knife edge and the person (usually) wins by a single engagement that wins the game for them It's a question of whether you like seeing well executed strategy or an exciting on-the-edge micro intensive game. Why do you think Boxer is so popular? It's not his macro....
