Otherwise what Southlight said is mainly true, Wing EW, Rau Dinn, Ball K are really strong. I haven't kept up with the meta that much but SR NZ was the standard before it was nerfed. I'd imagine it'd be Nu HWS or SR Cherudim (sci) that'd be used now. Haman's Gaza C was also used before it got nerfed. BD2 wasn't used pre-nerf that much either because it is a unit that becomes ridiculous with OC, but without it, it doesn't match up to other B units. So in actuality, the power of the S rank vastly outdoes most other ranks, except maybe B. That's the main reason why they have the point limit, to make other suits more viable. It's just a balance thing, really. Edit - also a really good AS sword strike against a really good Guntank, it'd be probably even =P If it was gundam fight then I don't see the guntank losing, but on other maps Sword Strike would run circles and just SP cancel Guntank's SPs =/ | ||

You're looking at an A-rank vs a C-rank but it's still player skill dependent. Doesn't necessarily mean that A-ranks are 100% stronger by far. S-ranks are high-risk high-reward but aside from the immensely broken ones (NZ, Cheru, etc.) I think even in clan matches S-rank aren't absolutely required, although a good player on an S-rank is obviously going to generally be more effective than a good player on an A-rank (of the same RSP type). My point was just that people have this misconception that S-ranks are gods, but they're not, it's a relatively balanced game across suit ranks :D | ||

Purge to use ranged SP, that's it. It really is a no brainer, and if you play smart and safe you become even more difficult to take down. I think there are rooms even banning HWS (I knwo for sure there are rooms banning SRudim). Edit - Nu S rank is still decent, and is surprisingly not UP or anything. | ||

 Edit - S ranks are getting more ridiculous and ridiculous, it's becoming a lot harder for other ranks to compete with them. It's the main reason why people host ABC only rooms and stuff - they don't want to deal with stupid homings or funnels or losing 80% hp from jsut moving out of cover from an across the map flashlight. Then there are the rock S ranks that have great range and reach and can outmelee most, if not all the other ranks. I think SP is really a saving grace for B/Cs =P Although there are underwhelming S ranks, and not as broken S ranks out there as well. | ||

Honestly SDGO is not that pretty of a game so if you're in it for fanboyism I would suggest a PS3 or PSP Gundam title like Gundam vs Gundam Extreme Vs. | ||
