I used to run HP/DEF but never worked out really well

Now it's turned into an altron EW

From the T2s i've seen they've mainly run spd/atk; but i can see hp/def working well on NA because there isn't as many things hitting T2 hard

i rarely see blitz's anymore =/ Mainly because of the fact that it has 2 lives and Amatsu outdoes it

trick to most invis units isn't to use the invis to for only melee; it's to use the ranged weapon whilst invis to dish out dps whilst being relatively safe and hidden from view. Melee is an option when you know you won't be punished too hard for it

there are many amatsus, there's beam rifle, zook, all melee one; they are all viable and i still see them being played.

deathscythe series are really dangerous with their invisible vulcans and still have a decent melee

Can't really think of any other invis units atm @_@

edit - amatsu is great for gunning down those papers

Yeah, I don't really rely on melee with Blitz. I just use cloak to get free damage with beam rifle, as it's hard for people to answer your shots :D

I just find Blitz to be a better version of vanilla Amatsu (other two versions aren't in NA), as it has a similar beam rifle but a superior melee. I don't like Amatsu because its melee kinda sucks, so it gets boring really fast. I'd imagine I'd love Zook Amatsu because it has Blitz' melee animation, but I don't anticipate it being out for a long time.

Yeah it probably won't be =/ Only recently released on Taiwan a few patches ago

I'd definitely keep the beam rifle Amatsu around though, if papers are dominating the room a high OC'ed amatsu with 3 lives would definitely hurt. My poor papers

I haven't played Blitz so I won't really comment any more on it, but I do think it is harder to be successful with it than Amatsu.

Yeah my Amatsu's OC5 at the moment. I just dislike playing it unless the room has a ton of strong Papers :< I'll swap to it if I'm in a tryhard mood and just want to win or something, but yeah.

Blitz is a bit trickier but I think if you play it like Amatsu then it's not bad at all. Small margin for error but it "rolls" better than Amatsu (which can't really chain together kills very well). Cloak is always nice to have, after all :D

Ah kay. Just wondering how it would stack up to Deathscythe Hell though. From my memory the vulcans were pretty damn strong in ABC rooms, and the melee had a decent radius. Plus it's got Attack Up.

Now that I think about it, that could be a reason why Blitz isn't played as much on TW, although DSH isn't played that much as well. I guess we just have more stupid broken stuff

It plays different from DSH because Blitz has a longer ranged mid-ranged attack (the beam rifle). Prior to DSH nerf apparently it was why Blitz was meh but since then most comparisons are to Amatsu; DSH is more of a melee-centric suit while Blitz is more beam rifle and then hit someone if they're not paying attention kinda thing.

Edit:
I'd imagine it's not played because there're other range-based rocks (ie. Forbidden), so you'd have to REALLY like cloak to actually use Blitz. But for now I likeylikey :>

Reborns, 007S/G and various new stuff came today on TW

Along with many recent nerfs/buffs

Most notably funnel patch...

The game is stupid now, I don't even need to try with Nu HWS LOL

Edit - DSH is more of a vulcan suit than a melee suit, although it certainly should be using that scythe in the game. Invis attack boost + Attack Up skill + Vulcans + High OC = pain

Edit 2# - is it vulcans or machine cannons? lol

I think most people enjoy B/A rank stuff more than S-rank stuff tbh lol. Even in KR clan matches you don't see S-rank that much :p

Tallgeese II can maximize it's speed stat with two points so that's why people do it :o.

I have both Blitz and Amatsu(and Deathscythe now!) and I find that if you stay back to beam rifle people, you just become a rock-type Amatsu and aren't helping the team as much. Between DS and Blitz, I would say DS actually is more ranged based while Blitz should definately rush. Vulcans hurt a lot

We should do an all-stealth match.

I forget but for instance Rau's Dinn (B-rank) is considered one of the most BS OP units. At the moment Katoki Wing EW (not W0 EW) is also considered incredibly broken (A-rank). Dozle's Zaku remains consistently strong overall (very tanky).

In the upcoming tournament H's clan is going to run Dozle Dozle LohengrinBlue Amatsu - note how they're all B-ranks even though there're A-ranks abound. This despite all of them having basically all the AS suits.

Blue Destiny 2 pre-nerf was considered ridiculous.

I believe he mentioned the SR version of Nuie Ziel being incredibly powerful (hook + 8-hit combo) but otherwise you really don't hear too much about S-rank units dominating. There's always a delicate balance between having 1.7 lives and 3, and very rarely is an S-rank so OP that it's a no-brain selection :p

Edit:
In terms of A-ranks Savior (scissors) is good, Duel AS (paper) is skill-dependent but can be incredibly dominating, Sword Strike, Sword Calamity, and Strike Noir are all considered top-tier rocks (especially Sword Calamity), V-Dash is a top-tier Paper, etc. etc.

No, there are simply strong A/B ranks (and some C), and S-ranks have drawbacks (1.7 lives in deathmatch, cost 5 points in tag/grid/normal, etc.) that belie the fact that they're not that overpowering. Consider that a B-rank GP-02 Physalis (and to that end, so do the SP Awakening suits like Gundam X and Rau Dinn and spec customed C-ranks) can essentially one-shot an S-rank with their special.

Edit:
Think of it this way.

If you have an AS Sword Strike, and you play against a good C-rank Guntank, the odds of you winning that fight are not especially high. The better player will win, often by a laaaaaaarge margin. That's despite the RSP factor.

S-rank suits are not immune from this. They're not some sort of godly dreadnought :p
