If battle support eventually wears out, does that mean you won't have a radar anymore? It's just the fact that you need BS to clear certain missions, whereas it doesn't add anything to the game. It just annoys the heck out of new players.

You need Battle Support for the quests, but just clearing missions is perfectly doable without it with good suits (mobile armors like Psyco, Aps, Big Zam are common) and practice. Without Battle Support you can still have a complete radar with Communications Commander and Newtype Awakening. I think there's another way to acquire targets on minimap regularly but idk the details.
On another note where's our update!?

Hm, is there any guide on what is useful for suits? My Zeta Gundam(Saber) has 3 custom points in attack and now I'm wondering what to do with the 9 oc ones.

i thought the update was gonna be today? i want my gundam wing zero nowz

@Lucumo It tends to depend on your playstyle, what suit, etc. For instance I believe most rock favor speed or custom HP OC defense (OC HP sucks) - attack is generally overrated because you kill most people in 1-2 combos regardless. There're a handful of range-based rocks (Forbidden, Zeta Zaku, etc.) that can benefit from having higher attack because of their heavier reliance on ranged weaponry, but otherwise the issue is getting to the point of attack and then out alive :>
I think it may be tonight.
Edit: But incidentally stuff like Zeta (and indeed many C-rank rocks as well) like dumping points into Special, especially if the suit has SP Awakening, because then the SP does stupid damage (ala Physalis' nuke).

They Southlight was just wondering I have a C4 AS zeta and wanted to know the best place to dump points. Is it like any other rock and you wanna go speed?

Bear in mind that I'm not a pro, I just have Japanese wikis at my disposal (which have more opinions and thoughts than machine-like English wikis).
As far as I can tell there's no preferred nor recommended customization build for AS Zeta. People say it's very squishy and isn't played much, but is a fairly effective suit provided you can put its high attack and high spec to good use, particularly due to its ability to swap forms and continue outputting damage. It's really hampered by its SP Awakening skill, heh. In that sense I don't know about OC but for regular custom I'd honestly just try to see what your playstyle prefers. You can put into attack if you use your rifle a lot, you can use speed to catch up (although I'd imagine transformed Z is pretty fast? not sure, don't own), get hp/ocdef for survival, etc. You can also dump into spec to make use of its crappy SP Awakening skill, I dunno.
Forte and _H might have different opinions of course.

Cool man thanks a lot for the input. Another question just wondering how papers custom? Say the Gundam BR for instance, if its already high in speed, agility, and def, should you always just go for attack? and then what about OC? Thanks again for helping. I don't have any friends that play to ask you guys are all I got hah.
|
Most papers dump into Attack, given that their insufficient boost makes speed relatively useless, etc.etc. and their reliance on ranged weaponry = more damage is better. I'd go ahead and say pretty much every C/B rank paper will full custom and OC into attack, with very few exceptions.
There are times when you put a few points into agility to speed up suit responsiveness for papers, but that really depends on the suit and how comfortable you are with animation canceling (you can cancel beam weapon animations by swapping weapons - obviously this means papers that rely on physical weapons tend to have animation issues and can benefit from agility), and so on and so forth.
Raising spec is also a possibility but I believe it's still generally only for SP awakening and latent potential, and only if it's a suit that otherwise has skills not worth keeping around. Bear in mind though that the catch-22 is that more attack = faster spec build-up anyways ^^;

I just started playing and I am in love with this game. I am currently leveling a Calamity but that's because I have no luck with the capsules. IGN: CaosDriver
|
Bear in mind you can get a 3-custom-slot Calamity by making it, while you can only roll a 2
Friended.
|
I'm trying to decide which type of fighter to use. What's a good rock that will give me a feel for the class?
|
The Strike and Impulse you get from quests give you a good feel for how rock tends to play.
|
so is it always better to make a gundam than to get one from a capsule?
|
i just spent 14k points and all i got really worth anything was a shenlong gundam
whats the best way to mine for points? other than missions i mean
|
PvP, especially once you get into expert mode and can get grid/tag. Once you get to MCPO the dailies give you a lot of points too.
Edit: C rank you can get up to 4 if you roll but you can only make 3 slot, so no. B rank you randomly get 2-3 so up to luck. A yes. S yes.
|
What are the sub ranks of Gundam? _R is random? ("_" meaning C, B, A, or S) _U is a different pain scheme from what I can tell. _S is a higher rank?
Thanks for helping us newbies Southlight.
|
S is created from BPs. R is a rare (upgraded, usually, sometimes) version. U is a different paint scheme, but sometimes comes with different skills/armament.

Oh well, got my oc 5 Zeta Gundam(Saber) (oc 6 failed). Thankfully, I had over 30x 1000exp saved up. What's kind of weird, my gundam feels pretty slow. The movement speed(when using booster), as well as the attack speed. Did they change anything?

Not as far as anyone's said/noticed? O_o
