Mate of mine shot me through smoke yesterday. With an awp. After an earlier teamkill.
7 day ban. LOL.
I think valve should implement a (modified) system, that was standard on 1.6 pubs: the ability to react to/punish teamkillers. Of course the hilarious stuff like freezing them etc. shouldnt be there, but the ability to do nothing and let the teamkiller get away with it. Friend got a ban because he shot me at inferno banana from t-house. I didnt even know you can bang into banana from there :D

I'll have to find it
Wait, what?
Thats propably the goddamn spot I talked about. To be fair, the odds of this happening where incredibly low and it was a real laugh when it happened, but still. I think you should be able to not punish someone for killing you.
It's not as good as it seems at first since you need several hits to kill and people don't always stand in the same spot at car (plus I assume it's going to get fixed soon like all one-way wallbang spots) but here it regardless:
on a random note guys, is there any maps that help you break bad habits like moving while shooting? i find i do this all the time and i recon its that+ panicspraying that is holding me back from dat final push to nova

That just comes with playing the game a lot. Creating good habits/breaking bad habits is all about practice.

Also you can try headshot only deathmatch servers. You will probably not get a headshot while spraying, so you need to stand still and aim carefully.

sounds like you're getting caught out of position and your only option is strafing back into cover while holding mouse1 down.
just like in sc2, as you advance you have to do all the little things a little better, so practice being conscious of what you're doing. this has probably been posted already but steel explains it pretty well, . You need to be conscious at all times of what could happen and how you would react.
I currently find myself quite in an awkward spot. I feel I'm quite okay with my placement (being able to get frags comfortably), but terribad when engaging in the open (when both you and the other guy didn't really expect each other). I still try to pre-aim at head height, and at corners/spot where the ennemy could pop, but feel I'm bad at getting a headshot straight or fast enough burst in the chest to kill before being killed.
Coming from a FPS background in RTCW where timing for spawnkilling and Quake where timing item respawn times are very important I wonder how much role timing plays in CS. Do people memorize at what times Ts will appear on map when they are full on rushing to throw a HE at the right time? Say T rush B on mirage, do good CTs memorize at what second they should throw a HE into the house or is it more based on feeling?

Yup. It can either be at a predetermined time (I throw a smoke at 1:53, it will dissipate 17 seconds later so someone will resmoke it 17 seconds late) and it can be based on your game sense (You hear Ts rushing up middle, so you throw a HE and back off to a better angle while slowing them down). It's quite common for pistols rounds on Inferno where teams will throw all their nades right up the middle because that's the time when the other team will appear at middle and they can catch one off guard
some teams might vary their strats on where they spawn. Take dust 2 pistols for T side. If everyone spawns on B side, then they can do a full rush to B site by the time that 2 CTs are just coming into B site to get ready to receive the rush, and this will favor the Ts. If T spawns A side and then try to do a B rush, the 2 CTs in site will already be either on site/window and back plat where their pistols will have the range advantage over the glocks and they can slow the rush down.

Try using a dynamic crosshair (because it provides you with feedback on how accurate your shots are going to be). Style 2 seems to be the best for this because you still have a tight crosshair while moving so you can aim accurately while slowing down.
Be more deliberate about your aim until you counterstrafe and shoot automatically. At silver-nova you will have the time to think about this deliberately and still take out enemies.
Practice counterstrafing back and forth while shooting on any map, and do this when warming up as well.
After 135 wins I finallly ran into my first blatant wallhacker. I guess I've just been lucky judging by how often people post about them. We got the tie, but it was because he toggled off to stop looking sketchy after being crazy blatant. One in a Billion I hope you get VAC'd even though it probably wont happen for years.
