Technically there is replays. You just have to open up the console, type in like... 'record filename' and then like 'stop' when you're done I think. And then you can load the demo with some more console commands, 'playdemo filename' and then I don't know if the UI is there b y default or not but you can type in 'demoui' or 'demoui2' to load up some playback features.
Now what CS:GO REALLY needs is a match history and saved replays on a server that save for 5 days or w/e like dota 2 so you can manually download the demo file and watch whenever and not have to worry about telling it to start recording every time

Anything higher than that (Double Eagle to Hyundai) generally means they know how to play and how to carry a game. [Or they cheat. hueh.]
I haven't met anyone that's played 200 games that hasn't been the rank I feel they deserve. (sometimes they complain, but in reality they're an asshole despite how good they are.. and as a result, bring down the team.)
As far as the ESEA scene is concerned, it's fine. It's about what you'd expect from the condition that GO is in right now. Scrims are available, but not abundant for teams. I blame internet hate bandwagon. Valve is doing a good job, deal with it.
edit: obligatory hate comment towards MOBAs killing FPS.
Now im playing again if i play 200 games and i dont get a decent rank im going to hunt you down and kick you in the balls. 10 years of FPS games must make me good. IT MUST.
Does anyone have good guides / videos for learning spray patterns and map quirks? (Like the walls you can shoot through etc) feel like these are the only things i need to bother with to get back up to scratch (other then a ton of practice :3)

MMR/ELO system similar to LoL. If you're silver and all your opponents are gold+, it means your mmr is around gold+ level. It's the systems way of finding players your skill level, regardless of your actual rank.
To your second point of seeing silvers shit on golden AK's and Eagles. The only way this is possible is if the silver rank just had a friend play MM on his account. Any silver who can do well against golden AK's / Eagles will never stay in silver. You can basically carry yourself 1v5 through silver/low gold at that point.
None of this is true
1. Nobody knows how CSGO ranking works because Valve won't tell anybody. 2. Silvers vs Guardians means either A) silvers are playing higher mmr than rank, B) Guardians are playing lower mmr than rank, C) everyone is playing average mmr of both teams. 3. Account sharing is not the only way. Off the top of my head: ESEA players (as I said earlier), alt accounts, hackers, and puggers are also possible explanations for Silvers beating Eagles. 4. He's not said people are never changing ranks, just that these things happen. A sample size of 1 game doesn't mean anything
You're either extremely naive, or simply uninformed. ESEA player alt accounts, puggers, hackers having silver accounts... lol..........................
Anyways, the next update seems to have a decent fix for the FPS issue that's been plaguing the game, looking forward to actually being able to play longer than a game or two.
I'm currently Gold Nova III but struggling to get any higher playing on my self, is it possible or do I really need to find myself a squad? Just seems too random on whether or not I get a good team or a bunch of randoms splitting every round!

Has any of the old community switched over?
Whats the deal?
The game is competitive at the moment but for the majority of good teams it is not enjoyable. If valve doesn't fix the movement (at least) and a few other major things then the game will have a huge decline soon. People are getting tired of putting up with the way it currently plays.
Last season of esea there were 50-60 teams scrimming at night, and now it dropped to the 30s.
And you can wall spam, just not as well as in 1.6.
The main difference, for me, between this game and 1.6 is that it seems primarily focused on aim and caters to aggressive play. At the moment, there isn't much flexible around a defensive playstyle. So, in that regard, the game is very physical. (Think late BW Terran vs. Early WoL Terran rushes) Due to the crazy peekers advantage right now, that will be the biggest turn off. Spraying is also different, it follows a static pattern as opposed to how 1.6 worked.
Blah blah, all in all, it's still counter-strike and it's still fun to play with friends. The same tactical elements are still there. Or sell out and play LoL. HIPSTERS UNITE!
So what a disappointment, CS:GO is unplayable for me due to some weird latency issue.
Basically i'll join any server and it will start at 300~ and steadily climb over about 10 seconds up to 800-900 then just sit there. I will be able to barely move / warp around the map randomly before just completely freezing up.
Community servers are showing ~100 ping when i join them but do the above once im inside.
I got about 30 seconds of actual play on a MM deathmatch server (all bots) at 100 ping before i jumped back up into the 900's lol.
Have you tried finding a community server close to you (i.e. sri lanka/India) ? Cause it's probably the distance to the servers creating problems. Unless you have a crappy internet at your place, which could be the cause aswell.

That can't be it if I'm getting normal ping in server browser and every other game to eu, I'm connecting to Singapore which is the closest server hub I can find. If distance was an issue ppl wouldn't be able to play eu to am and it isn't my Internet as proven by ping tests/server browser/other games. The problem lies within csgo
If anyone is willing to help me plz reply in the thread below or PM

you can easily carry yourself at least to distinguished master guardian (the silver star) on personal skill and aiming skill alone. gold nova ranks especially, you should be able to drop 30 frags every game with the quality of player in those ELO brackets.
it goes without saying the whole process is a lot easier if you que with a few friends. if you play strictly solo, you might encounter more unwinnable games/negative or trolling teams, leavers, etc`. but despite what CAN go wrong in a solo que game, your individual skill can easily bring you out of the low elo ranks.

I think 1.6 had a few spray patterns and you had to figure out which one was active while you were shooting. CS:GO has one, but a lot of random inaccuracy (which is kind of annoying as you can't really practice that)
I've been playing this game more and more and enjoying it. I come from very little 1.6 CS and primarily Source. I like arms race to figure out which weapons handle the best etc. so far solo MM isn't too terrible but where can I go to learn the best CT routes best T routes for the maps. Best places to hide for coverage etc. I find that my google searching is pulling up random info.

Random inaccuracy? Not really. There's a spray pattern and then there's deviation based on the spray pattern. Obviously if you're running and shooting it's going to be inaccurate. But if you're stop shooting it's very easy to line up shots and they will go within a small distance of where you're aiming if you do it correctly.
The pistols in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive have been imbalanced since January updates, and AK47 continues to dominate the Colt M4A4. Why?
There was a massive outcry in January after Valve's update to CS:GO made the Glock far too powerful. Some of the complaints have disappeared after two updates and time passing though, despite next to nothing being changed in the big picture of things.
It's true the update on February 21st nerfed especially the burst mode of Glock quite a bit, but it still isn't enough. Terrorists still win two out of three pistols on average on all the maps. Check out some interesting stats below.
AK47 also still continues to dominate the Colt M4A4 as a weapon of choice among professional players, although Valve has continuously argued that a silencer would give the Colt, or rather the defenders, too big of an advantage.
We have now decided to look at our statistics database to see if we can find answers to the current gun balance in CS:GO, and maybe point Valve in the right direction for their future updates.
I'm a noob at csgo but I found it to be interesting. This was only a small part of the article that I quoted.
