and before you insult anyone here by saying, "you didn't play cs 1.6 or source", many of us have acknowledged that we've played the previous games, and have come to the conclusion that cs:go is a different game, just like source was pretty different from 1.6, and that 1.6 was a huge leap from 1.5 as well. A lot of the comments here are mostly about the changes made, not that many are actual "hate" on go.
HAHAHA your comment is so funny all I can say from you is that you have no idea what your talking about this game and your just mad because you have like 5000 post and you check everyone's profile to see how many post they have and talk trash on them just because you make more posts than the rest. HAHAHA However I stopped playing CS for the last 6-7 years so I don't give s hit about the game because Counter strike is dead from people like you who has no idea about what requires in a game to become competitive which is all about balance.( just like stracraft 1/2) And when aim and the damage output is so broke you cant really test your skill/strategies to beat other people. And nobody cares if CS:Source is a different game from CS 1.6. because the main problem is that Valve tried to upgrade the CS 1.6 just because of the success and once they released CS:Source they failed so hard that killed the community. and for the last I was not talking to you and either giving you the reasons.. so plz dont quote this
Your post is full of hate and seems like your just trying to start a flamewar. Stick to comments about the game, not about other posters. 2ndly, I have played CS from 1.3 onwards. (1.3 was the best version not 1.6) and have competed in a few cal-main teams during my time with the game. CS:GO is not 1.6, its a different game. To judge it and base it on a version of counter-strike that was released like 8 years ago is silly. The guns feel fine, and the accuracy is still there. You just gotta learn how the spray patterns work now, and how to burst properly. The smoke grenade is actually amazing compared to 1.6 or source, and finally feels like it can be used to take bombsites etc.
IMO it seems you are bitter that the game is not exactly how you wanted it to be, and instead of getting over it and enjoying it for what it is, you are too busy sitting there bitching about how its not exactly like its previous installment. How can the gaming industry ever grow or add new ideas to the pot if all they deal with are people too busy living in the past. Give the game a few months to get popular, and become competitive and you will see its actually not that bad at all.

We mean "classic casual" if you select the matchmaking option.

there definately were, but personally i always felt on servers with more than 16slots you just ended up with too many players on the map

I wanted to download the game on the xbox to play with some friends... am I the only one who is not able to download it?

Especially now since it seems like many of the maps were compacted a bit in size or you just run faster or something, it seems like it takes less time to get from end to end of map, resulting in what seems to be clusterfuck

Pehnom x2 550 and Radeon5770 will be enough to run game on low with stable fps?

Maps don't feel a lot smaller either. It's just that they're small compared to contemporary games like COD and BF3. Anything more than 8v8 will add more ballast than fun.

This game is really optimized. I play this game almost maxed out and I get 200+ FPS, 3x more FPS than I get in any other game that's come out recently and twice as much as I get in Dota 2.

Did they carry over stats from the beta?
I ask because I started the game and it looks 100 percent identical to the beta (menus, maps, everything)
Was the beta a full retail version? Or am I still playing the beta? lmao

Pretty much just carried the beta over.

Looking like it was just a carry over with a patch that fixed a few bugs/sound issues

From a newbie prescriptive, is GO much more straight forward to dive into? I mean I'm familiar with FPSs, just not THAT good with them. When it comes to something as competitive as CS, its well, intimidating to start.
|
Alright, so evidently I suck balls. Dunno how, dunno why, but I suck balls despite my positive K/D and whenever I ask why I suck balls, they don't answer. And no, this is not me misinterpreting some douchebag's taunt as an actual opinion on my level of play. So what am I doing wrong? Am I supposed to move while shooting? Am I supposed to crouch? How often should I crouch move? Are there weapons that you go for body shots with at certain ranges? Am I supposed to play defensively, or aggressively? When do I go full-auto? How much shots should I fire when I'm bursting in order to maintain accuracy? What separates this game from SC2 in terms of learning is that I have no fucking idea what I'm doing wrong, and have no way to tell unless someone who knows tells me.

It's easy to learn, hard to master. The best kind of FPS. I would say go for it, now is a good time to get into it considering it just launched.

Start with the AK or M4. Learn 3 shot bursts for long and medium distances, and spray when close. If you feel you simply just don't understand how to spray in this game, well you aren't alone on that. Many people are having trouble learning how to spray effectively including seasoned professionals.
Also, this may sound obvious but always go for the headshot.
Oh yes, you want to stand still when bursting from a distance. It's common to stop, fire off a burst, then move a bit to dodge, then fire another burst. It's situational of course, but in general it's usually a good idea to stand still when fire.
