And then it's a melee armour, so I think I'll duke it out with my 4 sock energy shield armour until I find something better for my witch. Aziri is the last boss at the pyramid temple, right? With a different name all of a sudden. Or from a map. Seems this game is too familiar, having played a lot of diablo 2. Pity, but perhaps the following expansions will make it less so. That said, lets finish the game, albeit only once, first! | ||

one shotted to the slow big ball AoE hitting my totem boss had Blasphemer's Grip on it which I don't think mattered in retrospect there was no reason to put out the totem (it's used to cast Warlord's Mark) because all I need to do to kill the boss is move around and wait for him to do an attack animation then firestorm afterwards and repeat the process until dead ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/pSeFLf2.jpg) biggest value item loss was a 5L 6S Pledge of Hands. had a Lvl 2 Empower, Lvl 2 Enlighten, and Lvl 1 50% Enhance that I was leveling and stashed away before doing the boss. might try doing Atziri with this character in Standard since I've never tried her before | ||

That said, lets finish the game, albeit only once, first! Rolling three off color could be annoying, but there is no reason to not use because it is melee armor. You aren't pigeon holed into using energy shield pieces just because you rolled a witch and without fairly significant investment into ES nodes you'd be better off using armor instead just in terms of mitigation. Most people focus on life or ES (there are some hybrid builds, but I wouldn't recommend doing one as a new player). Playing an ES build single player is going to be a nightmare once you're in merciless so I'd steer clear of it. Vaal is the boss of the second act. Aziri is a special boss that isn't related to the storyline. It's not really a map, but the zone is created through the map machine. | ||

/end rant on the bright side, did profit a bit from that map with an arsenal map drop and 2 chains that bind. not to mention a 6c poorjoy's turned into a 1 exalt drop. | ||

malcram: I noticed the bosses in maps can be quite a pain; I died to a skeleton archer with rain of arrows (or what it's called), the map spawned with 100+ chance criticical strike :p Then again, I'm only lvl 69 now so no real pain done. | ||

Flame totem doesn't need triple off color iirc? Suggested way to roll statsL transmute then spam a few alts till you get a decent life + resist, then regal and mastercraft a second (or third if you're lucky) resist. Depending on how much you want to spend you can regal x number of times until you get a good rare stat. | ||

I also hate that they destroy previous characters and builds each time they get a new patch out. Ive lost 3 characters this way (their items became useless after the patches, and it took me hours upon hours of work to get them before). | ||

Just played softcore and some races. Races can be fun, lag is not. | ||

Am I right in thinking that a lvl 3 empower will make it better to sell my Pledge and buy a +3 staff? But then I'll probably buy that staff 5 linked. I'd need to throw in about 2 more ex though (not rich enough for 6L. I don't think a 6L with +2 fire comes close? I mean, +1 gem level and Empower 3 makes for 4 SRS levels afaik, sounds pretty strong...). This league my linking game was pretty AWFUL. My first chest 5L-ed in ~30 fusings, which was great. Then my chest upgrade took me around 300 fusings (-___-) and for my other char it again was above 200 fusings... So I'm not really wanting to try my luck again right now, and don't have that many fusings. Then again, considering how much Exalteds are worth right now, spending more than 2ex for a 5L sounds wrong, considering Vorici does it for 150 fusings and 150 fusings is less than 2 ex atm (and I could even avoid spending any ex if I wait a bit and collect / buy those fusings). Prices on +1 gem +2 fire gem staffs seem to vary greatly, however there are some that don't fuck with elemental equilibrium and still are "only" 3 ex unlinked (despite some costing over 10 ex). | ||

I'm using EE with double curse and some curse nodes (I think 30% increasesd curse effect plus 10% from 20 quality Curse on Hit), 5L with Ball Lightning, CoH, GMP, 20% Ele Weakness and Flammability. It's very awesome. I don't know how much -res that is, but it should be more than -150 fire res (-50 from EE, -87 from both curses so -121(?) from those) vs. non-bosses. So the question would be: - Use a 6L with +2 fire gems (need to buy for 5ex+) - 5L my Pledge and use it (probably without empower and with Multistrike instead of spell echo, depending on what is better) - Get a 5L with +1 gem +2 fire gems, here I could probably use the empower (like said above). | ||

Getting a 6L +2 is 5-6ex at least, a 5L +3 is at very least 3 ex (lowest I've seen) but mostly 4-8ex. I don't know if a 5L Pledge is noticeably better than a 5L +2 staff, but that'd be fairly "cheap" since it just requires linking, and if I go for the safe way, it costs 150 fusings which is like 1.2 exalts at the current crazy ratios. (also FYI 5L +3 is pretty much the same price as 5L PoH if you get a good deal, though obviously the other rolls won't be very good then or the seller is nice ^^) | ||
