and i would think flameblast >> arc in selffound. arc is too dependent on good rng (moonsorrow, geofri, good spell wand) to be strong. flameblast just get ignite chance and ele prolif and you are good to go even on shit gear. Well maybe, but Lightning Tendrils owns shit very fast as well and the switch to Arc is also possible with a mediocre +2 lightning wand with 3 links. probably, but not very fond of arc since i have tested it out on shit gear before, very mediocre especially single target. tendrils is decent but honestly nothing still compares to flameblast/firetrap prolif. curse, 1-3 stack, bam , proceed, while you are stuck on one spot spamming arc/tendrils for at least a few seconds Crit Arc is pretty decent against rares and bosses, though not very hardcore friendly. Finding Vaal Spark would also help greatly, but is very unlikely since you mostly skip those zones if you wanna level fast (except on Docks I do them sometimes).

I am now convinced going Flameblast is the right way. It doesnt require 100% awareness, and excellent AoE. Maybe gonna start templar, (been witch 24/7). I will just copy HavoC's pizzablast build.

well if you are not aiming for top 35 you can play whatever you want :^) huge majority of top 35 will comprise flameblast prolif i can assure you

A bit sad how they handled the events that was suppose to give out beta keys. Was assuming it was going to be some random race events like BLAMT, cutthroat, exiles everywhere etc. Instead we get a 1 day notice on a 5 day race 1 day after 1 month ending.... I mean, I can't speak for everyone else, but I'm pretty burned out on the old content, even if I did compete, 5 days is a pretty low amount to catch up to map rng, especially when you will most likely kill stuff on a 4link while being somewhat gem starved.
Usually at least give it a go, but I think this time I'll sit on the sideline waiting for the next event, that is hopefully shorter.

I'm gonna play SC, grind a lot and hope for good RNG, easier than HC imo.
Although I think I'll need atleast 2 friends. Reaching top 35 solo seems just impossible. Especially if you get shit map RNG.
|
The whole way GGG is handling this beta is just dumb. At first they let in like 600 people? come on wtf they afraid servers not gonna handle so many people? Others are bored and disapointed can't even try out any new stuff. And best thing is you actually have to spend 1000$ for support to get beta for free if u spend 500$ its like no thx. ;/

There is a really big difference between giving 500USD now and 1K 2 years ago. It's quite fair and logical imo.
I also don't know why people are so salty about this. Doesn't it make sense that they only want the best players and top spenders in the beta? And also there is a timer for all other people. What more do you guys want?

You mean two friends to have in mumble to keep you from going nuts, right? Since there's no party or trade.
I think I'm going Searing Bond and probably just hit 70.

Youd be surprised how useful some idiots in teamspeak playing along side you are for ur sanity, even when u can't party

trades that happen in HC beta league right now:

Haha Has chris given you guys an idea of when to expect the first beta reset?

It was hinted at Kripp's stream when Chris was talkin with him that the first reset could hit around sunday/monday. So yea we don't take it too serious atm. Im rank 8 with level 70 .... ^^

Yeah, solo just feels so alone. At least you don't notice how shit your droprate is or how many maps you ran without getting decent return while laughing and shit.

UPDATE: You're right. 25 additional key prizes have been added as a random draw for players who reach level 70 in either event. Check the event threads for more information.

yeah but level 70 in a 5-day solo event is ass anyway plus it starts saturday afternoon like GGG wtf

Your racing background should push you top 35 in HC. I think you can easily get it and other people would be more discouraged to try to attempt it.

The only weird thing for me is that they're doing the public timer for "transparency". Huh? You invited everyone you specifically wanted to invite as well as people who gave you enough money and you're showing us who gets random invites for "transparency"?
What does that even mean?
"We're not being biased about the people leftover after we separate out and invite the people we're biased toward."
To be clear, I have no problem with them inviting streamers or supporters, seems like a very reasonable way to do it to me. Just how they talk about it is so bizarre.

and what day would have been a better day than saturday to start this?
random ranting ftw!
