I honestly have no clue and im generally curious, never played D2 back in the day. That being said, ive been playing the passed couple of days, and while it is still fun, its the little things are driving me nuts, and might get back into PoE. Like i cant ctrl click shit into my stash, i pickup a shit tonne of gems, and i have to painstakingly manually drag them over to the stash. Or how i have to use skills,just in general, only 2 skills can be used at a time, for Left click and Right click, constantly shifting between skills can get annoying. And playing as a Palladin today, i get no fucking AoE for like 18 lvls, single targetting everything gets annoying too. Anyways, still a great game, just that PoE has spoiled the shit out of me with things like the flask system for one thing, yeah im being too hard on a game thats over 10 years old, i feel bad now lol. | ||

- They introduced complete respec. - They removed Iron Maiden Curse from Mages before Diablo (a curse that would throw back phys dmg from melee attacks, melee players would usually die in 1-3 hits they did while having that curse and had to play very tactical in that area, remvoed completly... I loved that and over half of my chars were melee) - requirement for hardcore chars (blizzard and their requirements, jeez, let people play what they want -.-) On the other hand there were changes that I quite liked. For example, change in color for runes so you don't miss them (also made the hack that colored certain items redundant). They also increased the droprate for high runes, which was good imho. Highrune drop rates where ridiculously low (comparable to Shav's, Kaoms, for some even lower I think) and some rune words needed mutiple ones of them. The market was flashed with duped high runes, so I never traded them. | ||

So im playing a Marauder again, and i need some advice, im going Molten Strike, but im not sure if i wanna go 2H with some auras, or 1h+Shield, and invest in block nodes and use tempest shield. I would think 1h+Shield is more tanky, BUT, killing shit would be slower, and in some cases, more dangerous i think. So is 2H more dangerous you guys think? Killing stuff faster can sometimes be safer than sitting and tanking for a few more seconds even with a high block chance, any advice you guys got would be great. Thanks! | ||

Ill be gone for the next week or so anyway, so I'll miss the beginning race, and seeing how I've never played before I dont think I would have a chance. :p Shadow is probably the best class for a build focusing on crits. Things like CoC, crit dagger, or these ele ST builds all work as Shadow. | ||

In the first I did a lot of Baal/MF runs and generally leveled a lot. Back then I was in a service on indiablo that helped people with Uber Tristram/Uber Diablo. Half of my time went into that and it was hell of a lot of fun to get people to their torches/annis. In the second one I played with a friend, tons of different chars. I never really leveled to high levels in that period. We just chose a build (there were some really exotic ones but that was the fun) and played until the end of hell and maybe did some baal runs in the end. But the chars all ended up being 78-85 and then we started a new one. I think you can play d2 for a long time straight depending on your goals and motivations.Shadow doesn't suck anymore. They buffed the starter area for caster. It's really good now.
