Looking at the affix list on the PoE website, I noticed the Adrenaline suffix for flasks is listed as lvl 5, but I believe I've heard people saying you only need an ilvl 4 flask to roll it? Is this a discrepancy between the information on the website and how the mechanic would sensibly work or do you in fact need an ilvl 5 flask to roll adrenaline? It's also funny that the half the suffixes need a higher ilvl to roll, so an ilvl 5 flask has a really easy chance at getting adrenaline. The other thing I noticed is that it should be possible to roll my ilvl 63 thicket bow until I get: +18-32 Physical Damage +223% Physical Damage +99 Accuracy +25% Attack Speed +34% Critical Strike Chance +<one more suffix> I can dream It's kind of lame that all the +dmg mods are prefixes. That makes it impossible to roll decent damage blues.
Except you can turn those items into rares anyway so if you're out to make the perfect item it doesn't really matter. Third suffix should be Lightning Damage assuming you're using Lightning Arrow. Not sure crit is worthwhile either, but there isn't another good suffix to pick up besides resists unless you need even more accuracy.

Did it in a party as had 0 chance to do it solo, ended up getting 80%ish of my hp chunked in one ranged attack.
While I tped back to full hp after every hit, still the chance of lighting + rock at once made me scared shitless.
After all, only 2/6 people died in the fight >.<
Yeah, lightning damage on mobs in general just seems really overpowered because of how quickly Shock stacks ramp up the damage. Even with near max resists those Arc mages in Act 3 do silly damage and Piety is always a scarier fight than any other boss I feel.

in terms of survivability? sure. killspeed? no way. if you use freezing pulse with crit you are about as glass cannon as it gets - and if you face a very tough boss you can still just use one ice spear totem as support without losing your ability to deal damage. it all comes down to your preferred playstyle, and totem builds bore me to death.

It's essentially useless for my current ranger, but maybe I'll play around with it on a future character.

Should I just skip Ghost Reaver + Life leech completely if I dont plan on going Vaal's pact with my Witch Ice Crit + CI build and just focus harder on +ES% nodes/cooldown and critical chance/multiplier? Would I be too fragile for endgame stuff?
Any input would be really helpful, I really dont want to be buying regrets later as they are expensive -.-
I have same question, maybe someone can help? Specyfically having this build at this moment and should i go now into: - cold damage nodes, - critical damage nodes, - second nullification?

I am personally getting both nullification nodes since they do +evasion on top of the resistance and cd reduction, rather than the +ES% nodes below the witch starting point.

I finally got my "melee" Shadow into merciless. Did a fast run on Piety with a group. Was pretty useless the whole time, but only died once when fighting Piety to her cold arrows (didn't have time with this group to change to my cold resistant gear). Didn't do shit in fight against Piety and I don't care since I don't like Act 3 and was just happy to get out of it.

Cold resist doesn't do much tbh, those arrows are pure rape. I always just run to the pillar when I see her go for blue portal, the damage on those things is sick. Watch out for her ligtning warp tho in merciless. I got one shotted with it in HC because I thought it won't do shit and was just pummeling her.

I play softcore and I am sure I will do her in group in merciless again just to get rid of the quest and do maps or farm docks.

So i think im ready to do maps, i pretty much never die on docks except with those silly dogs that can get silly affixes that burn me down even with 80@ res. I have 4 maps so if anyone want to do them just add me @ ikillprotos. Ill be on in 8 hours.

This game feels a bit choppy in PvP. I see no pvp future whatsoever. You just run around way too much. Melees are crap

You probably havent discovered flicker strike then. That skill negates any kind of range advantage and makes melee (imo) better than ranged for pvp.

If he hasnt discovered Flicker Striker or Viper Strike then he probably hasnt discovered Leap Slam yet

And if he hasnt discovered all of these then i highly doubt he has enough experience to doom the future of poe pvp Edit: not saying its really good or impressive....

Hey guys I want to get into this game. What is considered the most OP builds/classes right now? I love being overpowered and stomping things efficiently as possible. I will also be playing alone!
I am also very competitive and want to be good in PvP as well. Where to start?
|
Just play and learn, builds are still being discovered. Sure you can go and copy one of the top builds but it won't do you no good in the long run if you don't understand how and why things work the way they do. That said, anything using lighning arrow with chain and static blows does crazy damage.

I am also very competitive and want to be good in PvP as well. Where to start? You probably shouldn't expect to be competitive on your first few characters, the game is complex as hell and to do some more exotic builds, you need a big economy so you can get exactly the items/skills you want. A general advice is to start with something ranged, since melee seems to be quite a lot harder to play atm.
Also, there is no such thing as being overpowered and "pwning" PoE, no matter how you build your character, you can get oneshotted. I recommend watching the video "Why you will never faceroll PoE" by Kripparian.

Just sold an 18% Elemental proliferation for 1 Divine, 1 GCP and 3 Alchs. Not sure if I got a good deal or not but I wasn't using it.
Would the elemental proliferation cause your freeze to basically propagate to surrounding enemies on that target much like a "freezing curse" effect?
