I use 1 tab for currency, flasks, maps, scrolls, etc. 1 for rares to make chaos with, 2 for misc gems and quality flasks to npc, 1 for quality gems/good gems/very good gear, 1 for armor, 1 for leveled gems that i don't want to sell, 1 for rings/ammies, 2 for weapons
uhm, that makes 9! tabs total. you start with 4 if you dont spend money. 4 tabs isn't really that much, but you can use the inventory of alts to add space.

Keeping a set of rares for a chaos is easy. The hardest part is that you never seem to get the last piece (normally rings, belt, or ammy). The unid chaos is a bit more difficult as you almost always want to ID rings/belts/ammys ; they can roll pretty well even if they're low item level. Two handed axe is the easiest piece to shaft into the unid recipe as nobody uses axes (or a 1H axe and crappy shield). The other bits are best filled while you're leveling up. Low level rares are not going to be worth much so keeping them unid for double chaos is likely profitable (assuming you don't think it'll be an upgrade), although the rings/ammy/belt are still a problem. It's hard to justify not IDing two rings, a belt, and an amulet thinking they'll be worth less than a chaos though. Maybe later on in the league when great items are more common.
Don't think keeping two/three rare names around for a chance/regal is worthwhile. There are too many rare names to hold out for a regal and a chance isn't worth that much. Even with ten stash tabs you'd be hoarding so much for a small gain.

sup guys. just want to ask. what should i do with blue loot? trade them identified or unidentified? should i even bother picking them up?
|
Don't pick them up, except to fill up your inventory before going back to town. Sell unIDed.

All of the above are good ideas. It completely depends on how you wanna play. If you pick up and identify all blue items you will have to sell some alteration orbs. You can also sell them unidentified, but apart from if you really lack scrolls of wisdom and transmutation orbs, it is a rather weak choice. I would recommend one of 3 options: 1. Pick up and identify as many non-white items you can get! You are likely to break about even in some parts of the game, while getting a few extra alteration orbs in other parts. Since alteration orbs can be pretty valuable, it is not a bad idea! I have never had problems with too few portal scrolls with this strategy! 2. Pick up and identify yellow items and blue items you expect to be able to use. It is a bit like number 1, but you can get faster through the content. 3. Pick up only what you need! Even yellow items you cannot use are useless so let them be! You will be able to get through the game a lot faster and you will get a lot of scrolls of wisdom if you even bother picking them up!

Transmutes are pretty common and alts will be used much more later on.
|
You're going to use them on maps if you get there. Some people buy them for that purpose as well, but I wouldn't deem them high value.
Skipping rares is kinda dumb though. It's so easy to make a few chaos orbs off rares while you're leveling up and you're going to want to use some alterations/transmutes on flasks.

edit: using daggers of course If you like dagger crit, one of Invalesco's builds probably would work out. I wouldn't go CI though.

Might be hard to get to the dagger passives from Duelist, but I'm sure you could make it work if you really want.
