I think its more about the required level they need to wear it. In absolute endgame it might be important what can potentially roll on the item because you can re-roll the random values, but most likely, not a lot of people are in that reach yet. | ||

I'm mostly curious about trading. As in, are skill gems frequent enough that prices are rather fixed (..and can I find a list somewhere?) or do I have to check forum posts, haggle etc.? | ||

Has been posted before but i dont think its very accurate. It gives you a general overview of rarity and keeps you from getting scammed but its not a list i would heavily rely on when trading. | ||
