If you loved Diablo 2 you will love this game.

I have no idea how ground slam 1 shot him without lightning charges unless he spec'd his character very poorly for hardcore. Must say it was funny. My 2nd ranger has been doing much better than my first, lv31 and still HC!
That thing does a ton of damage. If you're using mostly evasion for mitigation it will kill you.
Also what is a Chisel worth?

Just died... Third character at lvl 30ish to die in hardcore. fuck my fucking life, ahh fuck
EDIT: Gonna go eat and be emo. lol

There is PvP in act 2 now? Do you die permanently if you're on hardcore in PvP?

Just picked up this game in the last few days, it really is very good. Needs a bit of polish which will hopefully come with the full release (chat interface and other ui stuff mostly), but it's very fun and the skill system is amazing. It's kinda hard to explain to people exactly why it's so good though, since "it has a really complex skill and passive talent system!" doesn't sound like a huge selling point, but it really is.
Other than cosmetic stuff, the biggest change I'd like to see if making it less rewarding to clear content you over-level while levelling up your character. In hardcore there's really no reason to get within 5 levels or so of the content you're doing, since you get close to full xp and it's just way safer to outlevel everything. Maybe cut the xp gains a bit earlier or something or make the loot punishments more severe.

Out leveling the content like that barely matters. It might work out early on, but a level advantage isn't going to help you at all later on.

Currently playing my favourite D2 class, the summoner. I have a couple of questions. How much is Wrath worth? I can't seem to really find anyone willing to part with it and considering it's one of the most handed out gems in the quest reward list I really can't find a justification for a level 10 skill gem being worth a chaos orb or something like that. What would you guys say it's worth?
Also about the economy in general, I'm still having a bit of a hard time trying to wrap my head around what's worth what and whatnot. Is everything below fusing worthless?
Would anyone here happen to have a Wrath and Discipline FT? I'm on Americas gateway playing softcore. I just found some STR gems, their names escapes me at the moment.
And I keep on seeing people sway for or against Necromantic Aegis. Is this really not worth it? And why is it that when I refunded it I never got a skill point back? Is that intended or a bug? If I have spare of both you can have for free.

Been using pierce on my LA ranger and love it. Im also specd into piercing shots though. Just something about LINING EM UP that feels so good. Also, if anyone has discipline gem I'd like to buy/trade for it.

Whats the difference between element damage and Ice/fire/lightning? Or are they the same but element is all 3 combined?
|
Found a green item (my first, I think these are from sets right?) and right after the server went down. When I logged back in it was gone.
Happens all of the time that I have to do certain areas again and again because of disconnects etc. Because of this I think I will be way over 30 before I finish the second act lol.

I was at the start of Act 3 before the city just farming up, taking it easy. Ran into a mob group and started to AOE but they were a bunch of blues, surrounded me so i couldnt move and I just fuckin died really fast lol. It was all my fault for sure.

No, green items are just quest items. It will drop again when you kill it.

Green items are usually quest items. I am pretty sure that no set-items exist yet. Act 2 is hard in the end. Level is not the thing that matters most. Resistance and life are what matters, so being level 30 is not gonna make spoiler that much easier.! I'd say that alchemists and the battlefront/docks in act 3 are pretty much bound to be hard no matter if you are a couple of levels or 5 overleveled!

Yes elemental refers to fire, ice, or lightning. Chaos damage is NOT elemental damage though.

The key to those areas is killing the things that kill you first. I found myself dying there until I realized that the guys that do a lot of damage also have almost no health and die in one attack ^_^ If you kill all their meat shields first though you run into problems.

So does righteous fire work with chaos inoculation? What are the mechanics of it? The PoE forums aren't helping me
