Still enjoying the league, pottering along at two leaguestones and trying to get the last two Betrayal unveils I need before ditching Syndicate on the Atlas for Delirium/Alva. Swapped from Exsanguinate Chieftain to Reap (vaguely patterned after Waggle) once I found a Bereks Respite for clear - still haven't found a weapon with the Crucible Reap fire convert tree yet, though. Found some sceptres with the totem explode mod - will try to get Slavedriver's Hand from the temple when I'm attempting 21/20 Vaal Reaps and see how it goes.

I have to share this because I feel absolutely gutted right now. I was on the way to create an insane axe for my rage vortex build. I looted an almost perfect psychotic axe from a grand heist and actually hit t1 phys with a warlord exalted on the free prefix (see first picture). I just wanted to combine the axe with another axe in the forge. I checked a dozen times but missed the area modifier that said it would corrupt my item. Now my axe is irreversibly destroyed. Went from having fun with a league with goals ahead to not wanting to play at all anymore in a matter of seconds. I don't even know what to do right now, I just feel horrible.

Bought 1 Apothecary card and started to gamble. Three click later, i have a mageblood !

Thank you for your sympathy.

After I had a night's sleep I think I'm done with the league now. I don't think I can stand being reminded of this every single time I start the game, especially since this was my favourite character I have built since Sentinel.

Monday, I will come back to the league after almost a month of stand-up (because work and studies).

I probably won't play my league starter character (a corrupting fever champion) because after all this time abandoned it is not the same.

I have to think about a new character to level up and finish completing the atlas and setting up some farming strategy

if you want an easy character to do the campaign and easy to setup for farming, I suggest either ice shot or lightning arrow on a deadeye. So clean and simple, yet pretty good this league

ok so, with the mageblood i found i finally decided to make a Flicker Strike Pathfinder.

God dam it's fun :D

Screen never got clear that quickly

and pretty fun

I dont have the classic Shako with an ice bit lvl35, i'm going dual wheel with a Paradoxica and a Savior.

Mageblood sounds so good, I wish I could try it (I have a headhunter in standard from an old league). And I like Flicker Strike so I would enjoy it

In two leagues (the league after summer, the one that starts around Octuber) I finally will be able to league start fully again (I will change job after Summer so I will have weekend freetime again, yeah) and I want to try to farm a mageblood that league

I'm playing lightning around at the end and with the vengeant cascade annointment the build is fun

With Exilecon next week, I have already checked what I want to watch. The time zone is obviously crazily bad for Europe, so I will watch the absolute minimum to not fuck up my schedule. Plan is to watch the first hour of presentation, could become two depending on how it goes, and the last 1 1/2 hours that shows the racing event final starting on Sunday at 5:30 a.m.

So I'll skip watching almost all of the PoE 2 stuff, at least I won't catch it live. Probably will watch it on youtube later on. That said, I'm a bit scared PoE 2 will make the game less fun to me, given I like the chill play style of most PoE builds and PoE 2 will allow much more gems being 6 linked which should make the optimal game play much more active.

Multi-button builds (as in, you must continuously press multiple buttons to do basic things like clear packs, think vaal detonate dead) are widely unpopular. If that became the required way to play a lot of people would be unhappy and that in turn would negatively affect GGG's bottom line, so I'm not overly worried there's going to be a hard shift in that direction.

They've demoed combo-type things in past content releases, like the spear diving in and jumping back out, so I wouldn't be surprised to see more active playstyles like that where you're alternating between things rather than using both every time. I also can imagine a rise in cooldown-based abilities where you occasionally use one powerful ability for rares/bosses, but mostly still spam the normal one. Something analogous to Vortex in cold dot builds, but not just sitting on left click.

Yeah, I hope the gameplay doesn't change too much.

There are a lot of action rpg in the market. Some have cooldown based skills, some have more tanky enemies and methodical gameplay, etc. You don't need all games to have the same style of play. But PoE is unique in his dopamine style killing hordes of enemies with few skill while you stack lot of league mechanis and run. For me it would be a pity if this changed because there is no other game filling this niche.
