I feel slightly better, still kinda shit. Last 3 days where pretty nightmarish tbh. Wife was way sicker even than i was, couldnt even stand up on her own to go to the bathroom, had to take painkillers every 4 hours etc...
So yeah. Not a lot of energy left right now.
Might say hello for act 1 or half of it and then go to bed.
At least today was the day it finally started to go uphill again, so theres that. Hopefully that trend will continue.

That sounds rough. A few people around me got it for their first times, too, recently and most of them had a similarly bad time.  It might be good idea to go to bed early, have a good night sleep and then maybe you are able to enjoy some relaxed PoE tomorrow when the servers are stable. It's a late start over here anyways with summer time now... Anyhow, best wishes (to Haasts as well)!
I personally queued up. Will see how long I'll play today. If the servers are stable I will probably play until I get tired. If not, I will just play some GW, go to bed earlier and properly start tomorrow.

I had a couple disconnects with long queues yesterday. Told myself I would leave after the next disconnects but from then on it went smooth, so I ended up finishing Act 3 before going to bed. I don't think I have ever found such ridiculous weapons of the ground, though. The first one was still shredding in Act 4, when the second one dropped from Voll. I also got a Quill Rain...

That royal bow is insane. I had a 2h axe similar to that but I had to craft on the flat phys
Crucible has ups and downs. Very very rippy if you charge it, and it can be very hard to find crucible nodes that fit your build. During campaign I made a few good axes with the tree, but in maps I've gone through like 15 axes with none of them being physical based. Still, can tell it is very strong, just need some luck and things will pop off

After having a night's sleep, I don't think I have ever been this upset with GGG. The new implementation of the battle pass is absolutely disgusting and takes away my will to play the game and support GGG in any way, be it by buying supporter packs or vocally.

Fixed a problem where Kirac Pass Free Track rewards were available in Private leagues and in Ruthless. Well F me starting in a private league lol. Can't finish the track. Officially screwed over by Ruthless lmao

it's kinda scummy because it forces your eyes to look at the MTX stuff even if normally you wouldn't want to, to extract money from you. It is a worse experience for players who do not want to buy it.
you could argue that the game is free and so things they do to try to make money is fair game. However lootboxes and battle passes aren't player friendly - they are the most psychologically successful way to extract maximum money from players, rather than a "fair" value of items
they are also incredibly far away from their original vibe of "crowdfunding" and positive community interaction, though after they were bought by Tencent I personally threw that all out the window

I think the logic goes like this: Crucible way too hard-->not going to engage with it-->hence game feels like playing standard.

Vaal Firestorm seems disppointing. It seemed much better than it acually is. It deals like 100-150% more dmg than the normal Firestorm dmg for my ignite build and you can't even aim it... it often takes like the full duration of it until it hits the mob you want it to hit and it surely can miss too.

Finally getting to dip my toes in (halfway through act 7) as an Exsanguinate/Reap Chieftain (first time using the skill, very satisfying combo of the chain and Herald of Ash/Ignite Prolif). Don't mind the league mechanic (reminds me of Metamorph or original Archnemesis in terms of sliding difficulty), had some nice levelling boosts on shields and sceptres.
Haven't seen the microtransaction stuff pop up - is that once you get to maps, or has it been changed already?
Anyone played around with Vaal Arctic Armour / Vaal Rejuvenation Totem as defensive cooldowns?

I do think Crucible needs major work, but the PoE subreddit is just horrible. People being extremely hyperbolic even though they've barely played or tested things out. I am very glad that PathOfExileBuilds exists as an alternative.
I've also been having a lot of fun, but that's because I think the base game is in an excellent place, and because I planned out a build that would easily use Crucible mods (Boneshatter).

That's a shame. I've also seen that Vaal Lightning Arrow and Vaal Ice Shot, while cool looking, aren't that crazy.

it's when you get to maps. its based off Kirac map pass, so atlas map completion
I totally forgot about vaal AA and vaal rejuv. They seem quite good but socket pressure is a big problem. I cannot replace Vaal Molten Shell or Vaal Ancestral Warchief so no usage from me

I always hated Breach so I disable it as soon as I can. However, I read it's much better now if you juice it with compass and searing exarch altars because it scales off of IIQ now. So yeah, the old strat of only taking atlas passives doesn't seem to work, which probably sparked the outcry because people thought it was a general nerf. If used correctly, it's a massive buff if I understood it correctly.

Up to T10s, think I'll try to stick around in UGS/Geode to grind out levels for a bit. New(ish) Heist nodes for multiple caches are hilarious when they proc, and the new Atlas gateways are great. Trying out running a bunch of IIR and ghosted exiles to see what uniques I get.
Bit rusty with cluster jewel farming/crafting - if I'm looking to farm up an < iL68 large physical cluster for fossil crafting, it's now zone level 65-67 (instead of 60-67) to spawn mirrors when you're over-levelled, so Ossuary/Reliquary etc? Or farm up clusters in maps and 5-to-1 recipe them with one low-level cluster in the mix (it's lowest rather than average iL, right?)
And what's the least painful way to try and craft a two-notable medium cluster these days - fossil/Harvest/alt-aug-regal?

re: ilvl I usually just buy the clusters. for SSF I'm not sure. the 5:1 method sounds better if it works with lowest rather than average
fossil is the best for cluster crafting imo, though it can depend on what you are looking for. when I did chaos cluster crafting that's what I did
alt aug is painful. it's typically currency positive but takes forever. meh
