I'm kinda thinking of rolling an MF glacier farming. Anyone done that yet? To me it seems like ED is the best choice because you're actually still tanky, but it seems some people favor the Vaal Ice Nova stuff. | ||

The best part of "MFing" this league is that quant isn't as powerful because a lot of the reward from legions comes from chests. It's made me more interested in trying new monolith clearing ideas/builds because I there's less pressure around squeezing every last drop of quant in with the same old items everyone's seen over and over by now. | ||

Was thinking of rolling some sort of Legion clearer as I still haven't gotten the "break 150 mobs out" challenge done in SSF (melee lol), but wasn't sure which would work easier - I used to play ED/Cont as a leaguestarter 4-5 leagues ago so it would be fairly familiar, but I've heard you have to invest in a bit of AOE to get Contagion chaining. | ||

Contagion chaining got a lot easier recently with the new Intensify support basically functioning as a second Increased AOE support. But most ED/Cont builds do still take some aoe on tree and it's noticeable imo. Maybe not mandatory but if you're farming low level maps mostly for legions then the damage investment is less useful by comparison. Edit: | ||

I haven't done anything with big chain shatter explosion stuff in a few leagues. I miss my herald mtx ;-; Surprised a build so effective/popular based around a vaal skill and NOT requiring soul ripper too. Legion bringing the most out of lots of very specific ideas. Speaking of, I have the emblems to run a few 5 emblem zones but it's hard to talk myself into actually doing it given how much more effective HH stuff is. Feels like I should just sell them for chaos and move on lol. Feels bad. | ||

Spent ~2k fusings on a QOTF for fucking nothing (already thought that the item is going to be cursed when it got 0 links after 6 socketing it) Wasted 2 ex afterwards when I was crafting a bow because I was still pissed about the fusings that I forgot a kind of important part of multimodding: to multimod first -_- | ||

I think ED Trickster is better since it's far safer than doing Ice Nova and as far as I have heard it kills whole monoliths with just one ED+Contagion as well, just like you said. In T2 Glacier that shouldn't matter much but I prefer going as high as I can and don't really care about HH. Herald of Ice shattering is very nice tho, but starting red tier maps it's tough to not die against multi aura legion rares with Ice Nova from my experience. | ||

I can recommend flicker coc purifying flames. Going conc path with cospris, gc and wave of conviction would let you do som conversion shenanigans though. Static strike could also be a fun addition heh. | ||

Back to playing POE this league , always was a noob , and usually I take 1 char to 93~ and end the league. This time I have a Cyclone (like everyone else) Slayer and I am having a BLAST , I am trying to farm 2 major items for the build, a Kaoms chest and a Disfavour , how long do you think it takes ? assuming a non meta farming , I.e just trying to complete all the atlas and then shaper and elder , from there I am open to just farming some content. I want to know if its realistic goal for me this league , if it is I might push some more hours to get there! | ||

I have a berserker sitting around already from some random shit I was just trying and there are a few zerkers high on poe.ninja using flicker, mostly with lots of cold conversion and hatred watchers eye. I really want the shatters lol. Might look into that just so I don't have to re-level. There was some clever stuff going on for frenzy generation too like that bleed reflect jewel and only converting like ~98% of your phys to cold instead of all of it. I'll have to do a deeper dive later but it looked interesting. | ||
