Whispering ICE with cast while channel scorxhing ray to triggrr the icestorm is insane. Look for marauder build from kelvynn or smth.
Its really cheap,reliable and can Run/kill absolutely everything dont even need 5 links.
It might be boring tho which is why its not too popular.

Debating if I want to continue or just wait a couple more weeks for GGG to nerf this fight. I much prefer the map machine being open instead of forcing you to kill a ridiculously tuned boss.

I'm trying to craft +3 to socketed gems on an unset ring. I guess this actually does not work in the way you described, as it is just the prefix flawless in this case? It seems like the chance to roll it is only 0.59% compared to 1.8% for other Prefixes. Guess I'm just getting a bit unlucky.
That's why I got confused. For weapons etc it makes sense that the +3 is just +2 and +1, I guess. Or am I still misunderstanding something completely?

Lacerate is somewhat melee and pretty cool, check out if you enjoy the playstyle on youtube.
(sunder is stronger tho, but in the end it doesnt matter if it doesnt have to be shaper viable)
Otherwise Cyclone / Whirlwind if you come from diablo2/3 is pretty sweet...most fun combination with Ngamahu Axe - Meatballer (altho axe cost 20 chaos).

OK I'm glad it wasn't just me. No problem with anything up until a 10, suddenly I'm getting two shot by monsters and the kitava fight was just me re spawning 25 times and brute forcing things.

Yeah Kitava fights are a clownfiesta, the room is rather cramped and the adds are so strong.

Just screwed around with this a bit whiteout real gear just using random lowlevel uniques and put nearly no tought aside from "gief crit" into the skilltree. I'm in Act 10 now.. Still having a blast.
65% Crit with full charges, before hitting Flask.
As much leech as i could find whiteout trading.
Blazing fast because who cares about important survival stats on Boots when you can go faster.
2'200 HP / 100 ES and naturally goign ES/Acrobatics because we are doing spinning shit.

Btw: If i get Kitava down in under 100 deaths with this i'm more than happy. Aside from the 1-4, 6 and 9 Bosses which never killed me, all others got me several times.. Solaris/Lunaris probably 2X times :D.

If you can't get kitava down within 100 deaths I think you need to consider various parts of what "blazing fast" and "manliest exile ever" mean.

Manly men charge in and die so they can charge in again. I don't see your point  . He is also 3 levels under the mobs, cause go fast 
A friend actually plays cyclone with none of these issues, cause he has an actual build and is also having tons of fun.

Ohhhh, gotcha.
Weapons have a +2 mod for e.g. fire gems or bow gems and a +1 all gems mod and that's how it will show up on the item.
For the Unset it's three tiers of the same mod so you gotta keep rolling for that elusive +3. Might take a while though. Odds aren't amazing as you pointed out. =P

As far as 2hand melee I'm actually enjoying cleave with 2x unique cleave jewel (though I swear sometimes the inc AoE per nearby enemy isn't working properly). The free fortify and the AoE is pretty useful. That said it's almost certainly worse than Sunder + Leap Slam fortify, but hipsters gotta hip. To get cool visuals you basically need Demon Hand cleave unfortunately, though.
Whether you do Cyclone/Sunder/Cleave you can get carried up to red maps by a Kaom's Primacy, which costs like 8C for a max rolled one. Now I'm just saving for Disfavor (thank goodness they're down to like 315C).

Jeez and I thought shavronnes wrappings was expensive. It sucks cause I'm at a point where my survivability is hampered by gear and even early maps are a bit of an issue, but the only way to do maps faster and survive better is to farm maps.

I brought my vortex berserker up to yellow maps now and it is fun, fast and powerful build.

Honestly I don't like the direction this game has taken. I play aprgs to see shut blow up and not play bullet hell with bosses for 10minutes. Probably just whiny but unless they roll back boss hp I don't see me coming back to the game.
It's just feels like a drag instead of being fun.

So fire trap gem. The skill triggers on people and spawns burning ground. Does this mean that the swift aliments gem works with burning caused by the fire trap or no?
