Combining Occultist and Trickster with CI and ZO could give me really good ES regen. Poison Arrow as AoE clear skill and ED to help vs rares and bosses (something similar to what RaizQT played in 2.6). New Scion's Trickster has 50% more ES recovery when you killed someone with a DoT recently. Later I can get The Beast Fur Shawl to get even more insane ES regen. Poison Arrow damage scales from both Chaos and Projectile and new DoT support should help | ||

Unlike other skills it is not reliable enough to do damage if you don't ignite and those ignites are not good enough. Only way I see it working is Assassin and focus on crit hits (in combinations with new keystone) but that takes more passive points than going Elementalist and putting some into fire and burning damage. And you need those passive points for ES passives. Once 3.0 hits and we get free respec, I will respec my high level Elementalist DD character to test if it is still playable but I expect it will not be. | ||

you only get 75% of the multiplier AND you get a giant 25% less dmg multiplier on your hits (although this doesn't apply to the resulting DoT whatsoever thanks to the new system) | ||
