I'm like 100% sure that cats were the biggest reason behind death on d2 HC. Me and some friends lost so many characters because of a cat jumping on keyboard, obstructing the screen or making the router fall at the worst possible moments. Man, I should get a cat now... no challenge without it

Cats and computers are dangerous. I was a little nervous when my cat jumped around on my computer when I was about to flash my bios. It's like they are physic.
Well I made it the Wardens Quarters and decided I'd port back and stash my orbs and rares. Well when I started stashing my game crashed and now my Town portals gone. I'm going to go play Sc2 for awhile.
It seems like the AI of the monsters is more reactive now. If you dart around near flicker strikers or those damn water elementals, they'll spam you with their skills and rape you.
If you just stand still and tank them, they'll use their pathetic melee attack, at least that's how it seems to me.

I'm also accounting from a PvP stand point, having unavoidable skills is just a bad idea.
I guess the mobs went on a strike in GGG offices and said they will no longer fight players until they get some of the toys. So GGG gave them Cold Snap, Flicker, Burrning Arrow, Glacial Hammer and Raise spells as well as some curses. Now they are back and performing their duties with glee.
I really don't like the idea of unavoidable skills in a game such as this and I don't feel adding a cool down will change that, a solution I'm kicking around in my head is possibly changing it to work more like lightning warp, with a .25-.5sec delay with a clear marker on the ground so players have the ability to react and escape if they are fast enough.
Ohoho , game is pretty nice ! , I just hit 16 lv on hardcore , everything is superb , but.....
I dont like. No gold in game , you buy everthing for scrolles., orbs from drops etc. Rare items drops so often..i played like 3h and my char is full rare. Dont know how for you , but for me its to much and some little balance things..but nothing big , like necromancers summons moobs to fast , way to fast , totems are to strong etc , game with bow build is to easy and some more. Yes i know im only 16 lv , but its my opinion. But the game will be KILLER , if they dont fucked up it for money
Necros can be a pain in the ass, some good tricks to taking them out is to steal their corpses so they can't ress, things like corpse eating totem, summon zombie, corpse explosion, shattering them with ice spells or kite the minions away from the necro before killing them. Had a pack today necro allie regen hp + super movement speed, was so fucking scary.
Maby yes.. but i dont have these gemes now. Im using some aoe totem, forget the name , but its very strong , shield charge for bosses and ranged moobs , and im doing fine for now.
First time playing in forever, decided to try a hardcore character, a typical archer ranger. Died at level 11 to Brutus. I don't know when he was added but I had never faced him before, and I definitely wasn't expecting his AOE to be able to hit me while he was facing a different direction.

My cats never got near the wires. Not really there thing unless I facilitate a string toy and bug them to play. Otherwise, they would just lay on my bed.

I have learned a valuable lesson.
As far as I know Brutus has always been in the game well ever since I started playing which was sometime last year. That is strange maybe it was just a bit of lag? I still haven't faced Brutus since the last patch is he much harder?
On the cat subject mine likes to sleep on my mouse pad or in front of my keyboard. She gets mad when I move her to play Sc2.
His ground slam attack deals buttloads of damage, but he does a pretty long animation for it in advance so it's not hard to avoid. Other than that it's the same. You might even say he's easier than before, as you just sidestep the ground slam and you can get a bunch of "free" hits in while he does it.
As I said earlier, some of the guranteed area bosses (Chatters, Hailrake, etc) are much scarier.
I see. Hailrake is a complete pain. Chatters I haven't fought on a melee character yet so I don't know how bad it is. With a Witch Chatters was a joke I'm sure its the same with Rangers. My question is how do melee characters deal with (the false god?) I think thats its name the totem on the ledge that shoots lightning in case I'm wrong about the name.
Well I forgot to patch on my laptop yesterday and going to my cousins this weekend to babysit and theres no way I can download the patch there as their download speed is like 70/kbps. I doubt I will be playing the Shadow this weekend :\. What other events are going on? I'm still waiting for the next Cut throat mode.

For Totem God you use a ranged weapon or skip him (or you got lucky and got good resistance items)
