Sure, you also had to achieve a lot of things to make it useable (required chain/pierce/fork, required a baseline amount of duration and proj speed, etc) but it kinda was too good. Vaal molten shell getting gutted is also nice (1/2 duration 1/2 damage at level 20) but i'm sure the skill is still build-around-able. | ||

firstly, the armor ones are hoooorrible in all cases. the flat mana ones are pretty bad. and then the % elemental ones are ABSOLUTELY INSANE. Wtf?? | ||

i played siege ballista 2 seasons ago (before the bow for it came out) which was kinda dumb. it wasnt weak but it was slow AF | ||

I used scion, deadeye/assassin as well, for the +1 arrow, and I have a +1 arrow drillneck, 5 arrow ballista's fire pretty quick and can 1 shot trash into high maps. Build worked quite well. I also tried it pre-bow release, and it was yes, slow clearing, but hard hitting. | ||

Ballistas can miss, they are the same as bow attacks: "Siege Ballista attacks can be evaded". Only not if you use RT or Lioneye's Glare. Accuracy isn't a wasted stat but a sick damage multiplier if you get 300%+ increased of it and Juggernaut with Undeniable and the +1000 accuracy unique plus 1000 accuracy from the support gem. You will end up at up to 200% increased attack speed from Accuracy alone which is great with elemental damage. I could test it myself later, but I doubt so many builds are wrong and you are right. edit: New challenges are awesome. I won't play as much as in the past in the new league, but it doesn't seem like you need to. Most things are very achieveable, getting the weapon effect should be a piece of cake and 36 is easier than ever, only really hard looking one is the "Do 2 of these grinds" with 1200 Volls etc. Probably easiest to do 40 Labs and the Volls tbh... The rich folks can just do 10 twinned Collosseum maps though. | ||

In the 180 levels I've played ballista i've never seen one 'miss' without being dodged or blocked, and I stack 0 accuracy on items or nodes, and I don't get RT. But believe what you want. Siege ballista is one of the most misunderstood skills around. | ||

I'll certainly test it, if what you say is correct you could even play a Inquisitor with no Accuracy, but getting enough Crit and Dex is even harder then. Should be easy to test on my Voltaxic Spark Ascendant with 0 Accuracy. edit: I tested it in a t8 map with Enfeeble and you are right. Doesn't seem to matter how much Accuracy you have, at first I thought I saw some misses but I think it was just the arrows that didn't connect with the targets. | ||

I think I won't do that Siege Ballista Elemental Siege Ballista build with Iron Commander as Juggernaut because I honestly doubt Undeniable is gonna be as good as I think (and it always hitting makes it a bit worse too), and I don't wanna end up with a build that could've picked a much better Ascendancy and a better passive tree. But I wanna play with Iron Commander I think, but probably physical with lots of dex stacking and Deadeye as class. A possible tree would be something like this: + Show Spoiler + It's not very defensive though, I could drop some jewels and get Acrobatics + Phase Acrobatics for example, but I love Jewels in the end (they're low priority at first) and they should help me with stacking more Dex (some Brawns, one for Rain of Splinters at least). Also it's a "totem" build so I won't need to face tank everything. Not sure if moving towards Scion for the Crit/Life/Socket and Harrier (I love it for the MS) is worth it, I could pick up Deadly Draw + Heavy Draw (which I usually have in every bow build) and more Life nodes instead and probably should. | ||

cwdt enfeeble, vulnerability as aura. damage is like 35k at level 70, killed haas and the lightning one in a level 72 map at lvl 69 lol. my crit is low though so it should just shoot through the roof with more levels I will have to get a hege's era though, hopefully they aren't too expensive this league | ||

I thought getting 800 shouldn't be too difficult and according to a forum build that feels better than going Ele (except Tooltip), but perhaps I'm wrong and it's hard. If it's too difficult to get 400 Dex from Gear/Jewels I might reconsider... If you use crap uniques it's fairly easy probably. Lioneye's Paws add 60 Dex, Briskwrap (lol) 15% dex or Foxshade with MS, flat phys and 30dex... Rare amu gives 60+ easily etc. Then there's the Suncrest helmet (isn't that cheap? dunno). But yeah it looks like quite the commitment to get it without good rares. | ||
