I got sort of used to being "introduced" to new stuff. I never got introduced to the white gel, did I somehow skip that part? I just "found out" what it did when I needed it.

There's a part in there where the Aperture CEO (brain fart, what's his name UGH) is talking in the little voice recording, and he says that he is going to see if warp portal technology cures his disease he got from a shipment of moonrocks or something. Then you get the white gel.

Some puzzles were pretty cheap, like the "find-the-tiny-spot-really-far-away-that-you-can-put-a-portal" puzzles.

I like it because it seems like part of the "story" -- sounds like Cave Johnson, by that point in time, had become sufficiently crazy, and they were running out of money to design good testing rooms for the third gel... so that's why nobody told you what it did (only that it was MADE OF MOONROCKS HA HA HA). But somehow the game still works with you feeling like you figured it out on your own. hehe. I @#$%ing loved portal2. I just stayed up all night last night setting up keybindings for FAAST+kinect for portal2. http://projects.ict.usc.edu/mxr/faast/ Here's my .cfg file for that: http://bit.ly/fNzwkJ

The gameplay of the game is great, the single player story is great, co-op is great, but to me it seemed all too short and there's no real reason to play through again once you beat it. It has the quality for sure, now it just needs some more quantity. well just like portal 1, the SDK will get released eventually and then you get practically an endless amount of custom maps. just gotta find good ones but yeah, i definitely agree with you. advanced chambers/challenges in portal 1 was partly why the game was so great. portal 2's coop achievement for beating chamber 4 with no deaths does not compare to portal 1's gold challenges. plus coop has like no replayability. if you finish it and play with someone new then you either speed through it (by pinging everything for the new guy) or let him figure out. either way, the experience is ruined for one guy. if you play someone that knows what to do then well, you're just speeding through it and that gets boring because there's hardly any variation when it comes to methods of completing the level. boo you portal 2 for only putting white walls where we need it :

Portal 2 has expanded upon the original gameplay with several new tricks, hilarious dialog, and an amazing conclusion that gets my hairs on end. I love this game so much, I've already played through it twice! I 100% recommend this game to any gamer. A+ The co-op is great fun as well, but the story aspect is definitely hollow. I was expecting some super-mission that you would have to embark on at the end, based on the co-op commercials where GLaDOS says, "and now for your real purpose..." Yeah, that never happened. I was severely disappointed.

So, in case you missed Valve's ARG with the radios in Portal 1, they brought it back. The "Final Transmission" achievement in Testchamber 6 (bring a radio into the office with a broken window) yields the following image when decoded with an SSTV decoder: ![]() That whole ARG gave me nerd chills. Mega nerd chills.
