I can't recall the exact rule, but the half circle is involved (it's not only there for penalty kicks). It's a classic trick question on football panels on TV etc I hate to be so late in bringing this back up, but I stated the rule. There is no "trick" to it. Soccer has the most incredibly simple rules. I reffed high school and travel for 3 years when I was in college, offside is really easy from a rules standpoint, the hard part is the execution, not the rules. The FILA rulebook is below. There are some more exceptions that I didn't state earlier (goal kick, throw in) but nothing to do with the circle at all. http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/affederation/federation/81/42/36/lotg_en.pdf

I would like to see Chicago commit to forcing Bosh to make those jumpers though. Even when he's hitting, no need to bite on pumps and let him penetrate. If the Heat beat you with long jumpers, you live with that.

I'm starting to think that perhaps the Bulls should just leverage their only advantage: Size and go with a Rose/Deng/Boozer/Gibson/Noah lineup.

Well of course they're going to win 6 as well, but I'm just calling it for this game only at the moment ![]()
