Red Dragon is a free, browser-based strategy/economy/diplomacy game that's been running for over 10 years now.
It's a bit like Travian, where you get your kingdom and you develop it, grab more land, train more troops, forge alliances and wage wars against others.
The main difference between RD and Trav is that it's turn based, not real-time so it doesn't require you to pour insane amounts of time into it (30-60min each day is more than enough).
The era within a game (a cycle at the end of which every kingdom is being reset, you can select new race and start everything from scratch) lasts for about 100 days (depending on how fast an alliance can get to the main goal). What seems really interesting in it is various ways you can specialize your kingdom within an alliance (magic, attacker, defender, thief etc.). There's a pretty neat kingdom management system, with assigning jobs, training your military, building infrastructure, developing your generals and so on.
Thought it's quite fun and might interest some people around here (since TL.net is known for "winning the Internet").
If you're into such things, give it a shot.
If you know of other games like that, go ahead and post them here too.
