Also, I don't know how you're getting consistent hits on a medium or light with the AR. Outside of 50m range it's hard and even close duels are often fought at that distance. When someone is jetting and juking at a 75-100m range you're gonna have trouble. AR is a whittlegun, not a combat weapon. You use it to chase half dead runners or finish people. Well then headshots matter less than I thought, but inside of 100m it is really easy to get consistent hits. If you don't just hold the trigger down like a jackass you can keep landing hits on airborne targets. There are long periods of time when someone starts jetting or hits their highest point where they are moving very slow, especially if you started a duel with explosives and they try to dodge those as well. Juking the AR puts you in a bad position if someone knows how to use a thumper, which is the catch 22 of all hitscan or near hitscan guns. Skiing quickly or getting behind terrain is the strongest way to avoid hitscan, but lets you get owned by explosives. Your last point is totally true, as it is a pretty big headache to finish someone with just the AR, however this should never actually be the case. I'm always going to pop someone into the air with good explosives and whittle them down until they stop jetting or run out of jets.

Does the splash increase, however, between Light and Normal? Is there separate speeds of the projectile? Different spinfusers do different amounts of damage and travel at different speeds. There was a post about it over on the game's official forums, but I cannot find it, now. I do not know about splash size. EDIT: I found this post that lists the damages for all of the weapons, actually, but I still haven't found the post about the different speeds.
