I picked up a $3 PS2 to PC converter from amazon and I use one of my old playstation 2 controllers with it. It works so well, I'm amazed I didn't go with a gamepad on PC sooner. I use the x360ce controller emulator with it.

Edit: Also, are there any mods for the game, mainly talking about texture mods and/or ENB's?

Now i read that the game uses GFWL, is there any way to disable that PoS? Obviously, will play either way, but if there is some way to get passed that, it would be great. I ask mainly because i heard GFWL was being taken down or something of that sort, so i wondered if this is the case or not. Thanks. Edit: Also, are there any mods for the game, mainly talking about texture mods and/or ENB's? No, you have to play using GFWL. The universally accepted best mod is DSFix (look it up) which does a whole bunch of things, including high resolution support and the ability to uncap the framerate (there are gameplay consequences to doing this though, so you probably shouldn't... it's capped at 30 fps for a reason).

Thank you, just found the Nexus page for the game, haha didnt realize they had a Mod Nexus for DS, AWESOME!

I agree that this year's holiday Steam sale is weaker than previous years. I found this year's GameFly's Thanksgiving deals much better. I'd be curious what TL think of Gone Home. It looks damn terrible from having seen most of it from a LP. + Show Spoiler + Short, easy, limited gameplay. It's mostly running around reading notes and slowly revealing + Show Spoiler + in a creepy way a boring lesbian romance that ends up nowhere. There's far better mediums for that kind of story or social critique/discussion. In the end you're mostly reading or hearing someone tell the story... what's the point. Go read a book. And let's not forget that it is very expensive for what it is.

If you really have no controller at least get the DSFIX mod as it will help the controls better.

Btw i can sign into the client just fine, it shows my old xbox account with achievement points and all, but theres no option to add the DS key, or any options at all really. I cant go to sleep until i figure this shit out, but it looks like i may have to pirate an old version of the game, which would also use an older version of GFWL, which in turn would allow me to make an offline profile and play. (Dont hate me, but ive pirated the game before earlier this year, and was easily able to make an offline profile and play/save, all as well.)

. Are you saying there is no option at all to add a game key? Because I'm sure they have that option in a menu somewhere.

Its honestly like the game isnt "hooking into" GFWL, regardless if i sign in to the client before or after i launch the game. DS should launch, and also launch GFWL at the same time, from what i remember anyways.

I question whether these should be sold as 'Games' since there's basically no action you really take and the story just unfolds by itself. I think they need to advertise these as 'Virtual Stories' rofl.

Pick this game up if you like "realistic" multiplayer fps. I had a lot of fun with the free mod and I'm sure they're doing a good job on this sequel. Here's some information on the features: http://www.playinsurgency.com/
