Maybe it's the reduced violence or something. Or maybe they didn't play on Dark mode, idk. Personally I think W2's combat was fun as fuck, and W1 was just a chore to play through. I got to act 4 before I couldn't stomach it anymore and just dl'd a complete savefile for W2. The combat rebalance is polarizing I think, some people love it some people hate it.

I'm near the end of act 2 I think. I ran into a major bug that removed my ability to progress. DL'd a save game from someone else around that point and finished another quest but that's it. Good points imho are characters and some quests as well as the mood ingame. But I didn't really enjoy playing it because the combat was mind-numbing and I didn't like the cutscenecutscenecutscene story telling either.

Yeah it didn't help at all that for such a story driven game the cutscenes were absolute dogshit. OK maybe it was because it was made back in 2007 but jesus they were sooooooo bad. And I think everyone agrees W1's combat (and gameplay in general) was awful.

I just searched for fall out 3 and its reduced in price too, bought for £5 and I don't remember it appearing on the front page during this Autumn sale at all. Can anyone confirm Yes a ton of stuff has minor discounts during the sale. usually like 15% orso. The daily and flash deals just have a lot more discount. Hence why we advise people to hold off buying until the last day. Either it comes up as a daily/flash and you can save a lot more or it doesn't but you don't "waste" any money.

Can anyone confirm A lot of games are indeed on sale even if they are not on a daily deal or flash sale, but at a lower discount. So if you want to buy one of those you should wait until the last day to see if they drop the price even more.

minor games however often dont go to the frontpage at all and instead have a high discount during the whole sale. fallout 3 series have a good chance to go to frontpage. That probably means New Vegas goes to frontpage and Fallout 3 gets the same discount.

Portal 2 just follows naturally. It's different and more streamlined, but also much better in some ways. Portal basically made game designers realize that you can just go "fuck physics" and think outside the box when making a game. And so we have countless games with really awesome concepts these days. For some reason, it did not make game designers also realize that good writing is an integral part of every game. And so we still have countless games with really awful writing. This post is... come on. You can like the game and praise it but I think you credit it for a bit too much.
