The chances of you finding something better are small enough that you should just use your enchant weapon scrolls now. Keep the rElec axe until you find some other source for it, dump the rest - My HOGl win last night was a total tank, but without rElec those Zot elec golems really hurt. That CPA is unbelievably good, you will not find something better, but you can't go into spellcasting with it. Instead, get some evocations and keep an eye out for rings of teleport/tele control/levitation, and wands of hasting/heal wounds/teleport/digging, as well as randarts that give +Blink. These are your escape options. You should also get a cloak of preservation ASAP, to keep your scrolls and potions safe. Oka gifts according to what your race can use - Minotaurs can't equip helmets (horns get in the way). On February 26 2012 00:54 ClysmiC wrote: I agree! Your freezing exec axe is probably as good as you're going to get for dealing damage, and since you're with Oka you should probably just enchant it up. | ||

found a amulet of the gourmet and a ring of sustainance very early which makes the hunger problem as easy as on my kobold. blasting things with fireballs/bolts is amazingly effective and animate dead gives me tons of meat i can throw at the enemy. i cleared lair and orc so far and am on my way to the hive. good decision? think got quite decent gear so far. staff of conjuration +5(or would a +3int & fire resits wpn be better?), ring of controlled teleport and a nice cap with +2 int. but ran in some damn sticky situations mostly including invisible guys (god is it furstrating getting ambushed or even surrounded by something you dont see) and more recently 2 magic weapons almost killed me cause they somehow outrun me and tank a TON of my spells before they died. oh also do shields affect spellcasting? i just killed that donald guy and got a shield of reflection from him. | ||

I'm working on a second tournament win, got a lvl 16 SpSt^Ash who's cleared lair+orc and is working the vaults. Stabpetrifystabpetrifystabstab with the occasional earth elemental spam. I think this is the farthest I've ever made it with a Spriggan; I don't enjoy playing them as their extreme squishiness puts me on edge. | ||

Dabbled a bit with different places I've never dared to go before, also familiarized myself with Jiyvas awesomeness and Ashenzari and some wrath of okawaru. Damn man, Tomb is scary, I tried it a few times but 3-4x greater mummies at a time were nasty as hell. Also, as I'm playing trunk usually, it just prompted me about the tournament, don't you need a team for that? As I don't believe I belong to TL at least. | ||

Tomb is one of the better branches in my opinion: it's terrifying if you don't know what to do, but if you know what to expect and how to handle it it is actually not that bad. If you play 0.10 online at all during the next two weeks you will be participating in the tournament. You can additionally join a team if you like but you get a page for your own individual accomplishments. | ||

Of course I could have changed ash for TSO and go clear pans etc but I didn't want to risk due to not knowing what to expect, also got to see slime with full jiyva piety, so now I know what to expect from there. Also, another char I believe I could have gone as far as 15 runes or so, with +7+9 lajatang of speed, +10 PDA, 3x boots of speed (lulz, never even seen one before this, then got 2x from acquirements gotten from a freaking ossuary :D) +40 ac and ev and 250ish hp or so | ||

Other thoughts: Holy pan has tons of holy wrath weapons in every form except for polearms, odd that nobody there uses a trishula. | ||
