Dont rocket pods allow aircraft to solo any ground entity (be it AA turret, MAX, or lightning) and win through a single salvo? EDIT: Cause thats what it feels like to me

scythe can only do that when he hits a tank from the back with every rocket.
AA was not balanced in the beta, the skyguard was way too cheap with only 48 certs.

Some of these cert prices (or station cash given that you only buy for ONE character on one server, one side..) for certain "utility" roles like getting some AA or explosives to deal with armor is ridonculous. 1k for an AA for MAX that's already on cd?...

ive been reading about an ingame indicator that tells you whether its your cpu or your gpu thats limiting your current performance/fps in realtime. where do i actually find it? or is it bull?

Press Alt+F. Then Alt again to switch back to aiming mode.

EDIT: Cause thats what it feels like to me Can't kill a max with them unless its a direct hit. Tanks you have to hit the behind on MBTs, top will work on lightnings though. It takes like 10 rockets to kill one infantry dude, I typically just use my nose gun and save the ammo unless its a large group.

i broke my own record today
caught a group of barneys hiding behind a rock, in 1 pass in my mossi
16 rockets - 9kills

i really wish i was good at this game. l0l

Being a Sunderer driver is actually a lot more fun than I imagined... spent all day yesterday driving around, setting up positions, spawn points etc. I'm glad you get rewarded for playing as a support too

Tell me about it. KD of 0.5, most of the time i die as soon as i move 5 steps away from the spawn and if i buy something, it won't leave the hex i bought it at. If i get into a 1v1 as heavy assault point blank against a rank 1 light assault, i lose. There was a time when i thought i was good at shooters... though maybe it's been too long since my Quake 3 days.
I blame my low FPS (though i know better).
I still feel like i can accomplish something by concentrating on repairing, pushing objectives, healing or providing a spawn with my sunderer (for the 5 minutes it survives at least) but i don't have any illusions on my efficiency in direct combat.

The CPU-unparking program that was suggested a few pages back did wonders for me, +10 fps minimum up to +30 in some areas.

As reaver pilot, i have big trouble with just a single MAX with a burster on each arm. They can usually force me back before i can really get a good shot on them. Also, the heavys SAM launchers can make life difficult for fighters, they force us to spend time dodging and after taking a hit we have to pull back to repair or we risk not surviving the next bombing run. They are not strong enough to give lots of kills but they create a "no-fly zone".
However, Liberators are really, really hard to kill for ground forces. It takes 5-6 missiles to destroy one and bursters take ages to take one down. Without air support, a group of Liberators can make life difficult for ground troops, though a single one is usually taken down fast enough.

Damn it, I should have known I wouldn't get away with being lazy with searching.

That one.

Homing missiles on cheap aircrafts is pretty retarded.
That said, I enjoy this game a lot. Worth a few giggles in groups of pals.

I think the "try out" a weapon thing bugged for me, I tried out a burster for my max and it got permanently unlocked
now I just need 1k for the other one >_> yea screw that, I'll get my cycler S for the medic and all the addons for it first.
Played some air denial in my max with 2 other maxes and an engi dropping ammo at the Crown the other day, was there maybe 2 hours and we downed a lot of aircraft.

The left hand (I think left anyway, one of them) burster is unlocked from the start. It's only the other one you need the 1k certs for.
Also I'm a big fan of NS11 with compensator, forward grip, high velocity ammo and then either x1 or x2 reflex sight for the medic...

Really? Then why am I locked out for 29days for a MAX weapon tryout
