I agree the MAX is just insanely good atm and needs some major tuning but most stuff needs that (its a beta after all :p) Most of the time i play medic and my biggest gripe with them is actualy the very strict targetting of the heal weapon. You really need to be directly pointing at someone to heal them and if a teammate runs in between you its immedicatly lost and will often not even resume right away needing several clicks to get it working again. Plus if someone moves your not going to be able to keep a heal on them at all. Mostly ive been playing it like a light infantry that can heal himself just because of how ardious it can be to actualy provide healing support. Havnt tried the healing grenades tho maybe they make it a little easier to actualy be a medic.

I played it for 3 hours now and stopped because the shooting just feels horrible. There is a huge input lag and even setting the option "reduce input lag" in the menu didn't improve it at all. I set graphics to lowest to test if that changed anything but still no improvement.
The game by itself is fun but this input lag makes it almost unplayable for me :-/

Does anyone know anything about this "ProSiebenSat.1" company that will be involved in the cash shop and patching of the EU planetside servers?
I've never heard of them before and I am quite mistrustful of a 3rd party company taking care of these things especially after the fiasco for EU players that was GoA in Warhammer Online.

They are one the bigger private TV stations in germany. Not a big fan of them personally but i think you can trust them for this, they aren't exactly newcomers to the market.

If you buy the alpha squad thing, do you get the game when it releases?
|
the game is Free to Play so everyone can play it when it is released. If you buy the alpha squad you get instant beta access, 40$ worth of Station cash (in game currency to buy items/boosters) and cosmetic things for your character and I think that's it, mb i'm forgotting something...

I think you also unlock a weapon for every infantry class and empire and a six month xp and resource booster.

I dont notice any input lag so maybe you have a hardware problem thats being exacerbated by the game. This game is really poorly optimized at the moment.

What are your specs?

Maxes doe pretty easy to grenades, and as of right now there is no penalty for running a grenade bandolier. Jetting over their head and throwing c4 can work too, but more ridk is involved compared to throwing 3 grenades at them.

If you have a credit card and are willing to spend some money for the release game, I would say spend $40 for the Alpha-Squad package. According to their pricing: + Show Spoiler + Alpha Squad - International Prices
US Dollars $39.99 Australian Dollars A$39.99 Danish Krone 280kr Euro €34,99 British Pound Sterling £29.99 Norwegian Krone 292kr Swedish Krona 330kr Swiss Franc 41.99Fr Japanese Yen ¥3200 Brazilian Real R$79.99

EDIT: Paypal DOES NOT WORK

Would anyone be willing to offer an invite to Planetside 2 Beta for me? I have been hyped about this game for awhile and truly would like to experience the beta. IGN kind of shafted me, along with many others. Anyone willing to help a fellow TLer out? Thanks in advance.

Currently in the PS2 Beta, on USEast1.
Is there a TL.Net Outfit set up? If not, i'll start one.
Playing Terran Republic, obviously.
