I despise shotguns. Basically, fuck suppression is what it boils down to. Which is my currently by far most used quote when this game is running, in competition with fucking broken game mechanics. | ||

I know it may be a really stupid tip for most people, but I went from the terrible player I was at level 32 to the AWESOME player I am now after utilizing this technique. Oh and I main assault rifles Divine, but sometimes I grab the P90 just to switch things up. | ||

M16A3, M4A1, M27/M240, and M98/M39EMR, respectively per class after I get 500 kills with all other weapons. Suppressor for Public, Heavy Barrel if I want to play serious. Shotguns are so bad post-patch, they're water pistols. I hate that even 5 meters can make shotguns not OHKO, and even under 5 meters, sometimes the spread makes it not OHKO, and by the time you fire the second shot, you're dead. | ||

It's mostly because of insanely stacked teams, where the highest level on my team is something like 10, and half the enemy team is 50+ with at least 3 100-guys in it. It's just impossible to win those games. >_> | ||

I see my role as support (generally play engineer) so I do what I can for them and if they win then good for them. But then I guess it's no fun if your team is getting so fucked up that you can do literally nothing. Which is why me and some friends rented out a server and equalise the teams ourselves if need be :D Although said friends voted in some pretty arbitrary rules I really don't like, I guess after played starcraft for so long the idea of 'the game is the game do what you can to win' is so set in my mind that forbidding a certain weapon or spawn camping just seems ridiculous to me. | ||

Indeed, suppression ribbons are easy to get with post-patch. Before, I played 200+ hours, never got a suppression medal, only 39x suppression ribbons (mostly from sniper rifle misses). Now, I got a few suppression medals to boot. In regards to unlocking everything for all guns, just remember that there's M26 unlocks that are not listed on Battlelog. Also, shotguns are going to be frustrating if you decide to use them (I've voiced a ton of displeasure using them, and the fact that I have to use them now to get 500 kills). | ||

It's increasingly difficult to find servers that fit these criteria for some reason. Don't know why people want to play a different game than what they bought/fired up, but it's frustrating how few good servers are out there. Another rather annoying thing we have is a giant pattern that keeps showing up and trailing us when we play. Pretty much any given night we play, it takes less than a handful of games before a lot of people on the enemy team start leaving/bitching or it just becomes a hilarious stomp. It's definitely our own fault for playing together with a full squad or close to that, but it's stupid how much of a difference 4/32 can make if they don't suck. That just goes on to make it even harder since we have to switch servers once in a while for it to keep on being fun/challenging. | ||

It's hard to play with friends because we would get split up after each round due to score shuffling, and the games are usually a one-sided stomp. Switching servers is hard, mostly because you'd have to find a server that's open and filled somewhat so it isn't a ghost town, and that you're hunting forever to find someone. Anyone want to team up for Laser Designations? That one is hard to get. | ||

A) Suppression changes- I feel this has been talked to death lately, but I really think reducing it and making it so that only bullets that fly next to your head suppress you. I remember yesterday I was playing on Norshahr Canals, and there was a guy 10 feet in front of me: I was suppressed, and despite the fact that I was aiming DIRECTLY at him, I got not even a hitmarker. Fuck. That. Bullshit. B) They need to fix the people melding into walls by proning. What the fuck is this shit. I am so tired of people being able to have half of themselves hidden, and THEN START CAMPING. What the hell. Also I think it fucks with the hitboxes of their visible body, since I was playing as recon not too long ago and I was repeatedly hitting this guy in the head, and not even a hitmarker was to be seen. Come on. C) This one is a little more friendly; I was there to be an extra bar on the score overlay that displays your current stats-- it bothers me when I join a 64 man server late into a game, and so I am not in the top 16, and then I have to wait until I die to see my stats. Would be nice just to have like an orange bar at the bottom of it displaying your score, kills, deaths etc as long as you are not on the top 16. D) I don't like the way that the chat works. Not like it's position or hotkeys or anything, but it fucking pisses me off to no end that I will die, and then begin typing something in chat (not BM or anything haha), and then I get revived-- the chat window is still open, so I can't move, but I am not finished typing what I want to say. Or if you at the spawn screen and you get revived while chatting, it just removes all trace of you even typing anything. I wish that when you got revived, it would keep what you began to type, but give back control to WASD etc. To finish what you originally began to type you would just have to hit J/K/L or whatever. Anyone with me on this one? E) On Norshahr Canals TDM, I am of the UTMOST opinion that they should remove the spawn next to the truck on the (West?) side of the map (near the containers). It is just a spawn camping fest. Fucking frustrating. If I spawn there, I just throw a grenade and accept my fate, hoping to maybe take some motherfucker down with me. Sometimes you will take two steps and an enemy will spawn behind you. Seriously? What the hell? F) It would be cool to have a 'favorite filters' list. G) Lastly, does anyone else get that bug where they bring up the score overlay, and half of the names are just hidden? To fix it you have to be in the spawn menu and then use your mouse to scroll up and down. However it is still really annoying and I wish they would fix it. Sorry for the rant like post, most of these things just REALLY piss me off. I know you guys can't do anything about it, but I was hoping other people here felt the same way, and maybe could support the idea on the forums. Also I just need to remind myself to do it haha, since I always check this thread, and usually forget to do it on the DICE forums when I get home. | ||

Can't say i agree as i dont have issues when playing with the changes, i just deal with it, and find cover. Like you just run now, rather than fire back. B) I've noticed this too, your example really is bloody annoying, however on the flip side i've seen someone melding through a wall, as i was outside i killed him by shooting is legs... kinda odd at the time. But yes, needs fixing. C) 100% agree (Never below 16 but nice idea :D) D) I don't understand why the chat isn't persistant. Like after the round ends, while you select your guns, etc etc. Would like to be able to type in chat during those times, and during the game. Plus it promotes a bit of banter which is always fun. E) Again, i think you just need to be lucky. There are plenty (and i mean PLENTY) of maps in which the spawns are a bit iffy. Spawning next to a tank for example, you get to see the turret turn before you die. It's one of those things you need to deal with. OR they should just try and attempt to check for an enemy in a certain radius of where you will spawn next. F) Meh, not such a big deal imo. Not like it takes forever to go through the list and find what you want. G) Never seen that, but then again there are quite a few bugs that are around in this game. All i would say, is that many of the obvious problems that won't get fixed like the sodding DART. I've just learnt to deal with, however i agree that little bugs (wall melding) should really be fixed before the game even gets launched. I'm sure it's something they MUST have thought to test right? | ||

Come on. They're not actually hidden - the other half of the body is outside the wall/whatever. You can shoot and do full damage to that. It's actually hilarious. It happens with crouching too but there aren't very many places where you can abuse that (since brick walls are thicker than what's sticking out, I guess), most notably on davamand peak tdm in the little hut outside the encampment, next to a small hill. | ||
